I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

Is it? Have a look at how all the English teams are doing in the three European leagues, and compare that with other nations.

To me, the fact that most teams are competitive is an indication of the strongest league in the world, with the greatest depth.

Wolves are dog wank

Two points from this amount of games is embarrassing for the strongest league in the world, given they've been there for a few years

Burnley and Leeds could well join them showing promoted teams are often up against it

PSG are the current euro champions from a dog shit league, before that Real Madrid

Wolves remind me of us about 15 years ago.

They lost a manager who had them flying in Nuno and players far beyond who they could normally attract. Slowly but surely it's diminishing returns.

Brentford will just be the same.

the last World Cup saw more players from the PL than any other league by some distance over other leagues

it will probably be the same at the next one

over last 10 years - european comps have seen roughly the same number of winners from PL and La Liga (but more different clubs from PL), so it can compete in Europe

it's clearly the strongest league in terms of personel

and probably the most competitive along with Serie A in terms of domestic league winners

whether it's the "best" is subjective

but there's no criteria for it being mediocre or shit or whatever

a shit league is one where the same team dominates most seasons like France or Germany

Are we all Cardiff fans tonight? They need the distraction of a 2 legged semi.

Aye we all just return to our natural level in the end.

All just one big cycle.

Problem is, we went too far the other way.

I'd say there's about a pot of maybe 30-40 clubs of a similar size who can all have their time in the sun, basically depending on how well-run they are on and off the pitch.

I'm going to say that the women's one looked good, but I don't think she meant it, I think she was just trying to put it back into the 6yd box.
