Tonge moor green jacket Posted February 5, 2019 Posted February 5, 2019 I'm thinking Pulis has been found out somewhat. A rich man's Parky Quote
Marc505 Posted February 5, 2019 Posted February 5, 2019 Just now, gonzo said: Is Steve Gibson still funding the losses up there? Surely that can’t go on forever? Now he has well and truly got fuck all to show from 20 years backing. A league cup win and UEFA cup final. What a shit hobby He is, think he's getting grief himself for lack of signings which is mental considering the tens of millions he'll have put in over time. Totally thankless task this, struggled and struggled to get back into PL then had Karanka trying to turgidly defend their way to survival and failed, now they've got Pulis. What a state football is in. Quote

Probably at or past the stage where some sort of radical changes to the professional game are needed. Anything from looking at salaries, distribution of money, power of agents, league structure, European tournaments, Super Leagues, clubs stockpiling players that don't have a hope of turning out for them, shite facilities, prices of tickets, football becoming more of a TV program than a spectator sport... Rafts of problems. Where does it lead? Quote
Biggish Dave Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 Delighted for Newport, 2 quality wins now another pay day v city. Made a few bob over the last couple of years. Never mind Accy being the club that wouldn’t die, these have done a fine job at rising from the dead Quote

bolty58 Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 Think I might back City to score 5 or more in the next round. Mind you, they'll be playing on a mud heap so maybe that will help keep the score down a bit. Big payday again for Newport though. Made a million quid with their last FA Cup run I heard. Must be immense for a club like that. Have to say looking at that pitch and those packed stands, it felt like real football again. Quote
deane koontz Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 I'd be happy if Talksport was just Simon Jordan and Adam Catterall. A couple of gems amongst a pile shite Quote

Biggish Dave Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 Couldn’t really have cared less who wins this but now Tyrone Wanker Mears is playing, I’m a Brighton fan for this Quote

I've never understood that criticism. Since when did first team players not take part in pre season friendlies? It wasn't a Bolton XI, it was the first team squad trying to get match fit for the new season. There's a few things to have a go at Coyle for but that ain't one of em! Quote
