Thing is though I'm actually a bit of a whore when it comes to Serie A, I've a soft spot for about 12 teams in that league 😂 Really want Napoli to do it I don't think people fully grasp how ridiculous the scenes would be! As is well documented on here, my other half has roots in the Napoli area. They are fucking crazy the lot of 'em. I first became aware of this in 1977 when I visited the Fuorigrotta in the middle of the close season (two months away from the seasons recommencing!) and there were mad twats circling the stadium in open topped cars waving massive Napoli flags covered in scudetti with a big header 'Campione Del Sud'. They just loved to wind up the big northern clubs fans claiming to be the (almost) perennial 'Champions Of The South'. Didn't go down too well in Rome either! The place will go absolutely fucking mental when they clinch it. There'll be deaths, life changing injuries and broken families where family members just never came home for whatever reason. Luciano Spalletti will be beatified; Osimhen and Kvaradona worshipped like gods and I fully expect the wife's family to still be partying when we get there again just after the new season starts. Can't work out what has happened to Milan. Some great players such as Tonali and Leao but seems shite defensively these days. Billy Bob Thornton might not be managing them for much longer. I was pleased to get back to Reggio!

Could backfire on Liverpool this. EPL are charging City with non compliance with UEFA FFP. Liverpool got away with non compliance in 2014 by failing to qualify for Europe and their 50M fees for Stanley Park wouldn’t bare scrutiny . Laughable that Chelsea and Leceister have written off 1.6BN and 200M of owner debts this season.

Wanderlust
Not sure what they expected from Marsch although he did spend a few quid on players - younger ones who still have some developing to do like 25 million euros on Sinisterra who should really have scored against Forest. I guess it was a game they expected to win even without Bolton reject Rodrigo. Get the feeling Marsch was planning a long term team when the reality of UK football is that you seldom have time to do it. To me his sacking was a premature but hey - it's Leeds so f*** 'em. Whitesince63
Just looked at the betting for the Leeds job and there are some right nobs on there, Lampard and Gerrard for two plus loads I’ve never heard of. You’d think with the job he’s doing here Evatt’s name might appear on the lists for some of these clubs but clearly he’s not considered suitable despite the impressive job he’s done here. Long may they continue to ignore him? 😉

Whitesince63
I agree but surprised nobody’s come for him given the way he’s organised the club. Maybe they have behind the scenes and he’s rejected them? I hope he continues to.

I'm sure there was a recent story about someone enquiring about him, and in the article he said something like "We just told them I'm not available, and that was that". Maybe I imagined it.
