Saudi Arabia did well in the WC including beating Argentina in the group stage and most of their players were from Al Hilal. Yesterday Al Hilal beat Brazilian giants Flamengo to reach the final of the Club World Championship so they're starting to look like a new powerhouse in world football - even though they are currently only 4th in the Saudi Pro League. Never imagined I'd see a Saudi club achieve that in my lifetime but it's happened. What next? - an African country or the USA winning the WC?

Not sure it's that big a shock. Since 2010 TP Mazembe, Kashiwa Antlers, Al-Ain, Raja Casablanca and Tigres have all reached the final

To play a player, the secretary has to sign him on at the league, forms signed etc. This takes time. Occasionally, the media volunteers aren't told (happened to me before). But the secretary knew. 100%. The chairman would highly likely know as they authorise the wages, ultimately. The manager knew. And the league knew. But no one asked "are you sure?".

Now the poor media volunteers have to write a club statement, with no mention or quotes from those that did know. What a shitty job!
