You probably fell asleep watching it.Even the Glazers understood Man Utd didn't become the most popular club in the land playing football like that

At least glazers have managed to relegate them to second most hated club in the land and second best club in their city, good work by the glazers be sorry to see them go.

I’m happy to see County back in the league. Had a brilliant season but got no limelight because they don’t have Hollywood owners.

Worse still, Wrexhamers are going around wishing Notts County well & describing them as their fellows in arms.

Rob McElhenney*, with his months & months of experience even called for a change in the promotion rules. Doubtless crying out for 4 x Quaters and substitutions for corners & free kicks next.

*McElhenney is 'the other one'. aka 'Not Ryan Reynolds'. A bit like Ant or Dec except you actually know one of them.

I think most 'genuine' football fans would have preferred Notts County to have finished ahead of Hollywood Dragons FC

I know I would. I'm surrounded by the hyperventilating fannies.

Reynolds has a point about the promotion issue tbf

I'm which case call it Division 5, & stop fannying about.

There are many reasons, other than tradition, it's held to one. Not least the viability of a club's finances, ownership, facilities & ground. The top teams this year fit all the bills, many don't or barely do.

Then, there's tradition. Feck 'em, kickabout wankers.

It’s not held to one spot, there’s been two promotion spots for some years (hence Notts County’s promotion yesterday).

13 of this season’s National League have played in the EFL at some point in the last decade or two. All bar a couple of teams are full-time. Three up, three down just makes absolute sense.

Splitting hairs.

Why not 4 up, 4 down ?

I just like it as it is. Plus object to being told how it should be by a guy who's only just learnt the sport exists & still refers to his team wearing 'jerseys' andcrecently declared Paul Mullin to be the best player in England. (&, yes, he really did say England, bless him).

Without looking back, has it been mentioned on here that the Holywood duo were looking at us at one time?

I haven't seen it on here but someone mentioned it at the game yesterday. Said they thought the expectation might be too high here.

On that last point, I really doubt he was being serious

Clubs have been asking it for years, all Reynolds has done is use his profile to raise the argument which surely isn’t a bad thing. It took years to even get the second promotion spot. Trouble is, it relies on the bottom feeding turkeys of League Two voting for Christmas.

Wife told me about it.

She heard they were concerned that the higher purchase costs for bwfc would mean less for investment into players.

Sort of confirms that they are perhaps looking for a quicker success as opposed to FV and their sustainable approach.

Poor form Arsenal fans leaving, they've had a great season.

I'm sure on reflection come the end of the season most will see it a successful season given how much a farce they've been for some time, but there's no doubt they have bottled this and losing 0-3 at home and with how many point they've dropped recently, I bet they had just had enough and gave up just like their team as with the title.

May be wrong, but I thought I had read that they immediately dismissed anyone too close to either London or Manchester.

Ah.

"I had nothing else to do, so I went on Wikipedia and Football Manager - literally - Football Manager as we know has an incredible database it would be hard to find elsewhere," Ker explained on the Tifo Football Podcast. "I picked out 8-10 clubs in the National League, National League North and South, and League 2.

"I think I've named some of them. Hartlepool was looked at vaguely, Macclesfield was talked about. A few we talked about that we knew were in trouble. We knew from the jump we wanted to find somewhere that needed a helping hand or needed a stroke of luck.

"Some of the ones I looked at initially we struck off because they were in the outskirts of London and Manchester or somewhere we thought there was plenty of opportunity anyway. Wrexham very quickly became top dog through a variety of fans, which sounds like a very pat answer but it's true.
