gonzo
If VAR existed we don't win the cup in 58 and Super John gets sent off v Wolves.

Maybe inadequately, hence suffering from hypoxia, and an inadvertent leg reflex into his opponent. Perhaps he should train at altitude- ideally out of a plane at 30,000 feet. Signing Schmeichel is perfect for them and they are beating the likes of City and Chelsea with a team bought for peanuts comparatively. I think the most expensive was 7 million? If its half as good as his portrayal of Clough it will be superb. Keane's version of events is a good read in his autobiography, he thought the Irish team was run like a pub team, eg 1st training session at World Cup the training kit hadn't arrived (had to wear tracksuits they had for wearing in the hotel in boiling temperatures), the pitches they'd booked were crap, the flights were economy class so had no rest/privacy coz of all the Irish fans being in party mood, etc. TBH that may have been under Jack Charlton, I may have got them mixed up, but he didn't rate either manager and generally couldn't be doing with the lack of professionalism of the Irish, it was all a jolly boys trip and an excuse for a piss up. Neville Southall said the same about the Wales set up although he didn't care as much, he just wanted to play and train.
tomski
Mcateer liked it because it was a beano. I’m inclined to agree. I’d of only played for Ireland for the craic
