Newcastle beat PSG at home last year and the city went mad. They failed to make it out of the group. Did Newcastle win their first 2 games? Villa have Celtic too, they'll be fine Quote
TM Trotter Posted October 2 Posted October 2 With a lob like that... clear that Jhon Duran's been watching George Thomason 🙃 Quote

What he did with Sevilla I very much doubt anyone will ever match. Somewhere along the line I expect a piece of silverware to be arriving at Villa Park. Quote
Members DazBob Posted October 3 Members Posted October 3 Are those commentators still banging on about Duran's 'wonder' goal? Since when has kicking a ball into an empty net from 30 yards been a wonder goal?? Quote

Pablo Posted October 3 Posted October 3 (edited) Brilliant that Villa game, unreal atmosphere and great spirit from the players....some manager is Emery. Massive massive club Villa, they are everything that is right for me, proper old skool feel to what they are doing. Edited October 3 by Pablo Quote

Silly me. I presumed it was a joke (or a big cock up) by the realefl folk. Strips weren't right, the title wasn't, and the players clearly weren't professionals. Quote

Well done Villa but I can't get engaged in champions league when there's no jeopardy for half the teams. I watched 10 minutes but the outcome is of no consequence, Bayern Munich will have forgotten about it already. And anyway Kompany's football bores me, pass pass pass like at Burnley. Quote

Kane got the ball last night 10 yards or so in his own half, the break was on - Coman was free on the right wing and a 40 yard ball puts him in. He does it all the time for England. He looked like he was going to do it, changed his mind and played a 5 yard pass back to a midfielder and jogged up the pitch. Was obviously told not to play the ball further than X-yards, so had to abandon the pass. Felt for him! Quote

Some of the games must have less than 1000 watching them. if you look at this on BARB viewing figures website. https://www.barb.co.uk/monthly-viewing/ it sez sky sports main channel gets 9+ a bit million a month sky sports plus got about 3 and a quarter million ill bet thats why ifollow and that stopped, sky probably has more "reach" theres some leftover statistic saying "sky sports active" got 5000 views a month, which iirc is the old red button stuff which the "plus" channel supercedes. you probably have to pay BARB for the full data. i always think that if theres a film on at 3 in the morning on summat like a Classic Movies TV channel there'll only be about 11 people watching it live. with apps they can pinpoint the exact moment a storyline makes folk quit a tv show en masse.
