What's happening?

Eustace going.

Supposedly letting all contracts run down. 5 due this summer and no discussions planned.

The new secretary works from home and has never been to Blackburn ha

Internal squabbles with the venkys means they’ll not spend any dough.

They're not allowed to spend are they? Something to do with the Indian government banning them from ploughing money into foreign businesses?

Just been having a look.

They made a huge loss in 23.

A small profit last year, though if it wasn't for player sales, then another big loss would have occurred.

If contracts are running down, then there is less value in them.

Going to take some cost cutting to get back on track.

Well over £100m in debt.

Correct mate. Indian government have stopped their rich lot from moving money out of the country (not just Venkys).

Venkys have to apply to the government to send cash over to prop Rovers up. So far, the government have only approved amounts to essentially keep the lights on. It’s been masked by some brilliant player sales in the period since, which has basically bankrolled them for a year or two, but if there’s not another one of them lined up then they’re going to have to cut their cloth massively pretty soon (which it sounds like they’re already on with) unless the Indian government have a change of heart.

Yeah I think certainly money tied to the country or business is not allowed to be spent.

What they can spend, apparently the brothers/sisters/cousins (not a Blackburn piss take, I’m not sure) can’t agree where one wants to spend a bit but the other 2 don’t. They can’t bin them off as such as one doesn’t agree. Sounds a mess. Chortle.

My son's coach is a Blackburn fan and apparently there's nothing actually legally stopping them putting money into Rurvurs, but for every quid that leaves India, they have a give the Indian Govt (sovereign fund, or whatever) the same

So a £10m player costs them £20m because of a 100% tax

Just had a gander on Blackburns forum. Ho ho ho ho. Feels like the turd could be about to flush.

Or they manage to stay in the play off places then win them

Imagine that

Scott McTominay tearing up Serie A shows how terrible the league is 🤢

I can't comment on the Italian league as I haven't watched it for about 30 years but I always thought McTominay was a good player for both Scotland and United, always seemed to make an impact whenever I saw either team, and as likely to score as anyone, with a great attitude (a rarity on that Utd squad).

I could never understand how he wasn't an automatic starter under Ten Haag given how bad they are.

Sounds like fowl play.

FA Cup game tonight

What a shit show that competition has become

Aye

There's CL, Championship, L1, L2 (and us) going on tonight

No one gives a fuck about Exeter v Forest tonight other than their fans

And I'm sure both would rather not have had to wait till now

FA cup weekends can now last Thursday to Tuesday

Fuck off
