I know it's DMBs but just look at the football here. Proper footy and what made the prem what it is.

Watching Chelsea last night is lightyears from this.

Football has regressed, it's fucking wank to watch half the time now.

Proper superstars (front lines of Rooney, Ronaldo, Giggs and Henry, Bergkamp) - rather than dominance of a system and finding generic players to fit.

Played in the moment, not a VAR check in sight.

Genuine rivalries

Incident packed, not half the game spent passing around at the back waiting for some magical gap to open up

I know there’s a tendency to think that everything was better ‘back in my day’, and that was my absolute prime era during my teens, but surely there can’t be an argument made that top level football is a better watch now than it was then?

Aye

Systems will always change though. And there’s some evidence we’re moving on from possession based.

It’s VAR that has caused the most damage to our game. One of the most undemocratic decisions that has been thrust upon the game, with no way out. It’s grim at times.

Whilst we’re having a rant….. You can add an insane footballing calendar & people on smart phones filming everything & experiencing nothing to my list 😄

Trialist at the back,
Trialist in attack,
We've got Trialist, Trialist and Trialist
And on the bench there's a Trialist

It looks like they avoided relegation, via a relegation play off.

Aye mate. As is always the case in Campania it's ecstatic highs and profound lows in quick succession. Napoli champions followed by Salernitana being relegated to Serie C by virtue of losing to Samp.

I saw different reports from the one you posted. Wifes family in mourning today. They've been getting themselves worked up into a frenzy with the 'stink of fish' song over the last few weeks. No surprise it went off at the second leg.

Lyon relegated to Ligue 2.

They’ve had an absolute stinker. A lot of the blame being circulated at Textor. Doesn’t seem long ago they were giving it licks in France and Europe.

Oh well.

It’s not capturing audiences over in the states.

Some big crowds when the South Americans rock up. Getting to the end of the groups tonight.

Will see if knock outs come to life but I think it will be a flop. Watched a few games but just feels pre season
