I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

Nothing for Remembrance Day then?

When does that stop the game?

I know if we had a few players who'd not eaten in 11 hours or summet I'd want them to be able to have a sip of water or a gel pack.

In the grand scheme of things it just doesn't really matter.

We should probably add some stoppages to any Friday night game for players needing extra adjustments on the Pastafarian holy day

I hope there's a similar outcry during the world cup when we have to have mid half drinks breaks.

There were water breaks in the Qatar World Cup, nowt new

Goalies will just get strategically injured at sunset if we want to keep religion out of football.

You said you'd rather keep politics and and religion out of football.

BTW, the break for the players breaking their fast isn't bringing religion into the game, it's just letting players have a drink so they can perform at their best.

Absolutely fine for anyone to have a drink and stop playing if they want. Everyone else can carry on.

All very main character syndrome to basically think "because of a choice I've made everyone needs to accommodate me"

No different from keepers going down 'injured' so we can have time outs.

That wants clamping down on ASAP.

I don't think we know who requested the break do we?

Was it the players themselves or was it the clubs?

Watched 1st half of Brum v Boro.  There was a constant feature the whole half around the Brum fans being very angry with their team passing it back to the keeper (kid on loan from Brighton) who then appeared to do his best to set up a Boro attack.  Think Bonham v Blackpool but every 5 minutes, it was laughable at times, the crowd were right on his back, but also the team's for the painful faffing around.

Horrible to watch but amusing to see how pissed off the Brum fans were.

Denis's sister?

What result do we want in the Tykes v Wycombe game tonight? I’d say obviously a draw to keep them both at bay, wouldn’t fancy another play off with Barnsley but they’re making a late run with those games in hand.

15 games in 2 months will be relentless. Can't see them lasting with that amount of matches and ALL the teams above them dropping enough points.

Having games in hand doesn't in itself mean they are making a late run for the play offs.  The form table for the last 6 games and the last 10 games has them averaging 1.5 points a game consistently - reflecting a top 10 team rather than a play off team.  Wycombe in comparison are 4th, 20 points in last 10 games.

I'd rather play Barnsley in the play offs than the uglier teams like Wycombe and Stevenage (and we'd get about twice as many tickets at Barnsley).

But if Barnsley did make it they would be in some great run of form.

Unlikely though, so hopefully they get the win against Wycombe tonight

3 sent off for each side.

Mass brawl in the 96th minute, and game effectively abandoned.

Nil-nil at the time, and result to stand.

Its a low bar, someone will get 6th place, and they won't have to be in great form to get there.

If Barnsley do win tonight they'll be as likely to get 6th as anyone in the top half.

The whole of the top half is aiming for 6th because they are all dropping points every week.  Not as evident in the championship or L2 where there are higher points totals to date.

Top 2 are the best teams clearly.  3rd to 5th deserve to fight out the 3rd promotion place, the 6th placed team will be just whoever happens to be 6th when the music stops at 46 games, it would probably be a different team if the season stopped at 45 or 47 games.

Just press pause. Oh, sorry you mean the 'keeper is injured' mid half breaks.

Has there been a fire drill at Barnsley?
