I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

Obviously Bob isn't too bright. The same 'some Norwegians' stuffed City too.

The same Man City who didn't have to bother playing in this round of matches because they finished in the top 8?

Shame you can't cheer on Napoli as they couldn't even finish above the likes of Paphos or Carrier Bag. :D

Ah well, you've still got one team left to support in Sporting.

... Then again, there's always a chance of having a side to cheer on if you're a supporter of a dozen or so teams. 👍

you can see the potential for overseas fans when they have no chance of going to games. Only venues are LA and Dallas atm..

Inter, 10 points clear in Serie A, getting dicked by some Norwegians.

Italian football is so rubbish.

Even Gyokeres scored against them in the last round

Be VR through everyday augmented glasses just in time for the last true fan to be replaced by a half /half scarver.

Our disaster from weekend doesn't look as bad now

It’s definitely being played so it seems overly petty by Sky not to include it.

Sky pay to broadcast scheduled midweek games for x amount. ( a total of y games). If a game originally scheduled for the weekend is postponed and then played in midweek, they have not paid to broadcast that game, and have no rights to broadcast it. They can't simply just then show it, without getting their arses sued.

There’s also the reverse scenario. Broadcasting comes with a cost. Sky’s deal obligates them to cover all matches in the deal, some of which may cost more than the value of the viewer numbers.

The totality of the deal reflects all costs and benefits, to both parties. Additional matches should be negotiated on their merits. And, I assume, a single League One on a Tuesday night, where they already have product availability is probably not worth it.

Surprised Reading only had 9000 on given their position/ form. Maybe they will let us have the whole

Another terrible attendance at Deadwood last night, less then 11,000 against Bristol City.

Why are you bothered?

Defo not worthy of its own thread- and apologies for opening up old wounds…

30 years to the day since Black Sunday 🤮

Great game this Madrid game. It's wide open.

Use to live there, but was always a White. I enjoy seeing them stuggle after they bought the Premiership. For me they have always been our main rival.

Good to see Oxford get beat again tonight at Stoke and looking more and more likely to go down which if we were to pass them on the way up would be some kind of Karma. I still believe knobling Paris after a couple of minutes cost us that game at Wembley rather than anything else and if they come down we could maybe get Cameron Brannigan off them who I think would be brilliant here?

I wish someone would buy us the Premiership. 🤪

Juve Galatassary was a cracker over two legs as well

As was PSG Monaco

And Atalanta Dortmund

Have a look at what other teams were spending at the time. Liverpool spent £3.5m on Phil Babb

To buy it then surely they would have to be outspending everyone else that season

Think the likes of Henning Berg, Tim Sherwood and David Batty cost fuck all

Shearer was signed in 1992, Flowers in 1993 and ok Sutton the season they won it, and you would say those three were the big money signings

The whole bought the league thing is just jealousy that a local businessman was happy to fund his unfashionable team to win the league

Which as fans we would all love, surely?

Blackburn lad I know will always point to how much Liverpool spent during the same time not to win the league

We had our own benefactor that took us into Europe twice.

Thinks it more like paid for them to be equals rather than bought the league if that makes sense.

Same as Wrexham.

Villa soon dropped off

They'll struggle keeping in the top 4/5 now

Was it him that twatted the ball into one of his own players sending it straight back into his goal?

A surprisingly enjoyable game, cracking atmosphere, Wolves lapping it up.

They look decent, have done for a couple of months.

Mind you Rob Edwards a bit embarrassing with the over the top celebrations, I'd get it if they had a chance of stopping up.  When we were rock bottom in 1980 we had the good grace to be very half hearted when we got a decent result 😀 (we beat good Forest and Spurs teams when virtually relegated, they didn't prompt a lap of honour)

Cracking goal by McGoldrick for Barnsley at Orient just shows everything we’re missing, coolness and composure just stroking it in. 13 goals now this season.

15 now, scored a hat-trick
