I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

I see the England hype has started a bit earlier than usual.

Come now, Cheeselet, admit you enjoyed that game.

It was ok.

****must try hard to be different***

Hmmph

Anyone who doesn't enthusiastically agree with me is just trying to be different.

Not at all. We conceded 2 goals, and it was a friendly ffs. Decent performance, but utterly meaningless.

I was laughing at the world of tanks advert that kept appearing on the advertising screens round the pitch. With the dambusters theme from the stands it was excellent.

Good performance that. Enjoyed an England game for a change.

My guess is iit'll mean fook all in the summer.

It can't do confidence any harm

Meaningless it may be, but it was a lot better than ok

Ok, it was good. Just don't think it was quite as good as the hype would have us believe

I don't think it's fair on the players/team to link last night's 2nd half performance (great) with what the media will do with it (hype it to shit)

Which is the point I was initially making.

The Germans switched off after half time, if we think that'll happen in the Euros think again.

It's gonna be like a cool runnings and mighty ducks combo this tournament.

A result against the Germans is always something to celebrate. Doesn't matter if it's in a competition or not. It's like the Ashes, no other country gives a shit apart from us and the Aussies.

Pretty sure the England fans that were there will remember it for a long time. I enjoyed it for what it was, an international between to old rivals. A good entertaining match and great result. On the back of the T20 success, a very satisfying day.

Allow me to be first to say..

never write off the Germans

Leicester v Bolton, April 2013 (last defeat of season for Bolton):

on the bench were Kane and Vardy (plus Drinkwater).

We should have won that game as well

Remember the Leicester fans singing 1 up and you fucked it up

Then we got back to 2-2 and singing the same 2-1 up and you fucked it up

Only to fuck it up again

Were Bolton though and used to it

They must not have realised how bad Butterfield was otherwise they would have played them

Managed to miss the first half hour (including our first goal) thanks to traffic and struggling for a parking spot. This despite arriving in Ashby de la Zouch no less than four hours before kick off. Great boozing town, by the way.

Watching the West Ham love in on BT.

Regardless of being a testimonial, Dean Ashton's overhead kick was a fucking screamer.

The white Ian Wright gon bag a couple tonight

Fantastic team goal from England, barring injuries to Vardy or Kane, no way should Rooney get a start in the Euros.

Unless he can prove himself at centre back

Feck real football. Watched FIFA World Cup on Sky tonight. That's playing 'home and away' (PS4 and xbox)

Was fecking ace. It's the future.
