I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

1-2 Twatstick scored

Thought I'd stick a few photos up from the football trip I went on with a few lads week before last. Some on here said Union Berlin is a good experience, couldn't agree more.

Brilliant from the minute we got off the train. 18:30 Friday night kick off yet still nearly full house, buying beers from the chaps lining the streets handing them out of baskets, walking through desolate graffiti filled east Berlin streets, then into the forest where the ground is at dusk, floodlights shining through the trees. Beer on tap in the ground served by blokes walking about with tanks full of it strapped to their backs, smoking on the terraces, flags flying, scarves swining, flares going off. Ace.

Did Hertha on the Saturday, watched them quite a few times now and though the ground is fantastic and Hertha are 3rd in the league, it had nothing on Union. I'll be going back again, if I get this train fine sorted that I owe...

Top stuff marc.

Live the dream pal.

Get it all in before you have a wife and kids :)

I got done on a train fine when I was there last year, schoolboy error. Seen Union in a friendly but definitely need to go back for a league game.

The one time we didn't get a ticket was the one time we got checked, fine work. This was in amongst having some of our gear robbed, getting delayed, sick... and getting a text on the way back from the Hertha match saying "we're 6-0 down". But, it was a laugh.

Villa are having a very similar season to us. No effort and comittment from players who should be able to do much better

The Macron will look as sparse this afternoon as Villa Park does now.

Seemingly had a similar trip to Dubai last weekend too

Good finish Pato. You'll have a chase on to go to NSL for 3pm though.

Jay-Jay's uncle nephew scored for Arsenal.

That Payet free kick is the best I've seen since Jay Jay v Villa.

They're gonna do it.

They're gonna do it.

They are bloody good to watch.

Don't think I've seen a team work so hard. Flocking forward when they are in attack and then every fucker getting back defending like mad.

Can't imagine anything better in football than being a Leicester fan this season

Schmeichel has winners medals for League Two (Notts County) and Championship (Leicester).

If they win this season he just needs a League One medal for a complete set... JSL

I keep thinking about the lad who was giving me loads of grief at theirs, as I was right on the end. And as every goal went in he sunk further and further into his seat. Bet he's enjoy this more.

I don't mind Leicester but the problem with them winning the title is that their history will now arguably be as good or better than ours with 3 League Cups and 1 Premier League title to their name.

Up until the Martin O'Neill era they only had 1 League Cup as a major honour and were a less successful club than us.I'd rather Tottenham or Arsenal pip them for that reason.

With respect, that is utter bollocks.

I have no idea how some folks minds work.

I can understand his logic, not that bonkers

Why is this a "problem"?  :unknw:

I take pleasure in being  able to look down on Leicester (and Birmingham, Norwich, Southampton, Wigan etc) as a club with a worse history than us.If they win the Premier League I won't be able to.

We are no bigger than 4 of the clubs you mention and only slightly bigger than Wigan in the grand scheme of things.

A few cups in the 1920's and 50's doesn't make you a big club.

We've not had more than 28k on for a home game in about 40 years.

We'd have got 40k for that Leicester game if we had built an extra tier or 2

We wouldn't get 15k on now if it was free entry.
