I bet Gonzo has a christmas snowball too.

I enjoy christmas eve, few drinks, nibbles, a film, and i like christmas morning watching my daughter with her presents. After that i am done.

Gauchos just off Regent Street. 2 bottles of red & half a cow in my belly!!!!!

i am in tribulation as to whether to get in a cask of real ale this xmas for me basement bar... works out at  £72.00  for around 68 pints. trouble is latterly half of it goes down the drain due to lack of visitors ( me getting more cuntish as i  grow old before ye start) so should i sack it or keep the Ollie  Read tribute cask beer xmas event  going for the neighbours and family who do turn up? its the only time the bar gets proper custom apart world cups.

At the moment i reckon its 55:45 in favour. Ps i buy it from Bobbins in Blackburn....great lad who i've known since he started out brewing in a pull down rented garage in 1992.

That sounds like a Wanderersways Christmas gay pile on invite.

Free whenever, what dates are best for the Quiche?

There was an occasion when we played Burnley on Boxing day a few years back  think 2009 when it crossed me mind. trouble is  it had been drunk by then ..back then if you get it.

Blackedge up in Horwich doing mini casks for 22 quid. Got most of the brews in including the new christmas ale and the treacle stout. Superb.

Fucking love gaucho! Both the service and food were top notch on my visit.

In fairness to bgoefc, he has invited me on at least a couple of occasions and I was all set for pitching up last year until the daughter was rushed into hospital to have the baby.

I'm only about 5 miles from him over the hill, but I just know I'd end up getting hammered and upsetting the wife!

when I was a kid I was led to belive Santa delivered the presents on Xmas eve after his elves had made all the presents at the North Pole/Lapland.

Now our peg is telling our lad it's just one special present that is from Santa and the rest are sent by us and family for him to deliver...IE taking a bit of the glory.

Have I been led up the garden path all these years and its always been just one special present that is from the big man? Or is it all of em??

All of them

My folks tell me when i was about 5 I asked for the space ship out of "Space 1999"

These were hard to get hold of and Boydells weren't confident they could get one in time or something so the folks asked if there was owt else I wanted, just in case

I informed them I didn't need a plan b as santa sorts everyone out so knew it'd be reet

that pressure appeared to bring the best out of them as they got it sorted

But for future reference he might not be able to deliver what the kids really want so sounds like your Mrs is onto something there

My Sister's tearing her hair out, as her 6 year old won't tell her what he wants for Christmas as he's already sent his wishes to Santa.

She should tell him that Santa's Elves have mixed a few letters up. and it seems there are 4 children with exactly the same name living in the area. Santa has contacted all the mothers in question directly in order to make sure he delivers the correct gifts to their sons, as he doesn't want any of them to get the wrong gifts. Especially as it seems one of the kids in question has requested a dolls house

Either that or tell the kid Santa isn't real and you should be out sniffing glue and setting fire to stuff.

That is a surprisingly sensible answer, well done.

And Gonz, he's from Horwich, it's only a matter of time.

Huzzah!

And then you ruin it

I'd end up getting hammered and upsetting the wife!

His wife or yours?

His wife or yours?

 Both.

 Both.

...is the right answer.

Plus any other wives who might be there :D

and civil partners of course

I'm an uncivil partner.

My other half is having the same issue with her 8 year old niece so she's going to try that advice as well, nice one.

I'm liking this ISS flyover on Christmas Eve being used to wow young kids into the magic of the fat man.

Would have been ace when I was a kid that.

bant top do smaller ones to iirc. There are quite a number of local micros that might be worth contacting. Might just try some of your suggested stuff though

They are good. Bottle shop with gift packs there again. Bar open saturdays 12 to 6. Get the Black Port.

Treacle Stout?

In bottles by any chance?
