Matt Lofthouse
Good luck to them???? I would genuinely shut the upper tiers though. Looks toss as it is being half empty. Or half full (if we had won today )
Mounts Kipper
Good luck to them???? I would genuinely shut the upper tiers though. Looks toss as it is being half empty. Or half full (if we had won today ) Not the answer the answer is to get a decent team on the pitch and we will turn out. 18k today with a winning team it'll be low 20s average and 25 k with a good away following. Matt Lofthouse
Sell tickets upwards and only open the upper tiers as and when you need them. Packed out seats in the lower tiers would lead to a better atmosphere imo. But then again they need to do their bit on the pitch first. Matt Lofthouse
The posh seats are in the upper tiers so you can't shut them completelyKeep west upper open then and south upper for the away fans. Get the away fans up in the gods away from the pitch, with wanderers fans back in the south lower. Then when Leeds, Blackburn, burnley etc. come to town just reallocate the seats, like Blackburn do with the Darwen end.

Mounts Kipper
Got to keep trying but the performances on the pitch need to improve to help things along.

stevieb
This needs young lads getting together in the same part of the ground and having a laugh and the club (stewards) letting em get on with it, within reason. Anything more formal than that will seem corny as fuck! Singing sections, club advocated atmosphere generating initiatives and all the other bollocks won't get the lads involved it'll get the kids and flids. It's got to be as organic or natural as possible. His Facebook group might work. Keep the club at arms reach!
Ani
Keep the upper tiers for older folk who wanna sit and watch the game from a lofty perch. Get a decent team on the pitch. At Sheffield weds thus season as you walked in got told if you want stand go to back, say row H, in front of that no standing, worked fine. Designate two or three blocks in ESL silly corner as silly corner and tell the stewards to act accordingly.

Also think that the club need to accept the only place this will happen is the ESL and allow everything in their power short of turfing existing ST holders out to make it happen. No point on saying it's shit, moaning about our (lack of) atmosphere and doing nowt about it Fair play to 'em and best of luck I say This and this. Our home atmosphere is wank Brums support for a nothing game was immense. We wouldn't have took 4k down there in the same situation.
EyesRight
Chelsea at home, the first game after lofthouse passed, the singing of "oh when the whites" as the team came out was so loud and was proper hairs on the neck stuff. That's what we should be singing pre match. Good luck to the lad, I really hope he gets support from the older heads.
Site Supporter MickyD Posted May 3, 2015 Site Supporter Share Posted May 3, 2015 Good luck to the lad, I really hope he gets support from the older heads. I hope the older lads can teach some proper song lyrics. Lots of clubs have a song that is synonymous with their club; Liverpool with "you'll never walk alone", Everton with "If you know your history", Leeds, Birmingham, Stoke, WBA, and loads more have got a club anthem. It's the one thing were short of, something the whole ground get to sing together the way they did at Burnden Park with " Oh When The Whites Go Marching In" until folk started speeding the tempo. Juan.Kerr
You can forget all that when the breathalysers come in. We'll all be out of puff after blowing in the bag.

Guest Blixa
If we are up there next season, you'll not have to worry about the atmos. Give folk something to shout about and they'll shout. If you try too hard, you end up looking like a set of cunts - like that end behind the goal at Crystal Palace.
