August 4, 201511 yr Tim Ream is nothing like a winger, full back or central defender. That's his problem. Soft as shite and not that great going forward. £1 million for him is outrageous money IMO. Wages probably aren't at the top end and for experienced defensive cover, that's dirt cheap. Problem right now is that the vultures are circling and presuming we will take anything for anyone. Maybe in January, but not just yet.
August 4, 201511 yr A complete farce that he did win it. Too soft in the centre for this league and if it frees up wages for a couple more in then so be it. Too soft? He's not playing for Revie's Leeds.

August 4, 201511 yr Tactics, shape, motivation, coaching, are a managers job (and thus far doing a good one), but you think our player of the year for two seasons, is a bit rubbish?? Both were/are a bit rubbish in a Bolton shirt
August 4, 201511 yr We spent more than £2m to sign Ream. He's far from disgraced himself in a white shirt. We'd be wanting as close to that £2m as possible before accepting a bid. Certainly £1m is a good way too low. Should we get the right fee, the majority of that would have to go on two defenders, a new centre back and a new left back. I'm sure Ream is on decent wages given he signed as a Prem player. We can't afford to let him go for a week or two given our current predicament with central defenders.
August 4, 201511 yr Sure he was on decent wages, but it was well reported at the time that he was on about £4 a week in the US so wouldn't break the bank. I think he can be a liability but also our best defender (Dervite a stump and Wheater a liability) so madness to sell for a million irrespective of how skint we are
August 4, 201511 yr Made the mistake of opening up some of my ignored comments on this thread. Utter tripe.

August 4, 201511 yr Yes. He's too soft for a defender If the defenders in our team were as hard as folk want them to be on here, they'd be suspended every one in three games. Or more.

I think it was 2.5m but they're quite low paid comparatively in America when they're not designated players so I doubt he's on too much.
August 4, 201511 yr Yes and you think Mills was rubbish, despite not being soft. Time to move on. Yes. He's too soft for a defender
August 4, 201511 yr Tactics, shape, motivation, coaching, are a managers job (and thus far doing a good one), but you think our player of the year for two seasons, is a bit rubbish?? I do Ream is a bit rubbish
August 4, 201511 yr See i like ream and think hes one of our better players. but id rather he was sold than clough/vela/davies
August 4, 201511 yr That'll be why he doesn't play there then.Thankfully. Maybe I was a tad harsh with my initial reaction, probably because I will always remember him for his miss at stoke last game of the season. I personally don't think he will be missed.
August 4, 201511 yr So if we want defenders to defend properly we can expect them to be suspended 1 every 3 games. Very odd statement that blixa
August 4, 201511 yr So the fact that he was our player of the season last season. Who was better.Pick of any 3 keepers, vela, clough (even though it was a few games) pratley
