Thanks for everything Kev

Favourite memory was of the win at Villa towards the end of the relegation season. Came on at half time and bullied their defence and turned the game.

I was fuming when I heard he was training with us, really didn't rate him at all. If ever a player proved me wrong it was him.

 

One of my all time favourite Wanderers. At least Evra can sleep easy now.

I too remember being acutely unimpressed when he signed. I think it took all of six minutes to prove me wrong.

 

For all BSAs astute signings, SKD epitomised the ethos of the team; I was so proud when he came on for England.

 

Good luck SKD, thanks for Munich in particular. Shame Freedman didn't buy into the romance and the effect you could've had against Blackpool

Cult hero here as far as I'm concerned. Gave everything in games & I think we need people like him as coaches.

When things where a bit dull, and not going according to plan. He could lift the crowd and his teammates with one tackle. What he lacked in skill he made up with with nails. Hard as, and a top, top pro.

I love strikers who twat defenders and none did it quite like Kev

A true Bolton Wanderers great. What he lacked in skill he certainly made up for in fight and spirit. Oh for a Kevin Davies type player now.

A role model for any youngster with aspirations to be a footballer.

 

From humble beginnings and disappointment at the club he supported as a boy, Kevin rebuilt himself from grass roots football to play for England.

 

Commitment, desire, work ethic and a gentleman, Kevin Davies deserved every success and brought us some amazing memories with it.

There was nowt better than reading KUMB when SKD had bullied Upson every game.

Will the kids ever sleep again?
