Mounts Kipper Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 My worry is that the decks haven't been fully cleared and we've just no proper team club culture building and it will need a drop to league one to do it like Southampton wolves Leicester and dare I say it Wigan at the minute we're just patching up as best we can week in week out its wank and fucking me off now The 3 clubs had a fan base who stuck by them when they got relegated we haven't got that luxury, Wigan haven't achieved anything yet and I hope they never do. onlyoneawalker Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 I don't want us to go down don't get me wrong but the hand to mouth mentality we have now is bobbins and we will go down the plug hole eventually we need the courage to think long term whatever that means to short term results Quote
gonzo Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 They'd have to shut the top tiers. Â They should probably do that anyway. Quote
onlyoneawalker Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 if it means we get to sing E I E I E I O again and we get back on the rise and we have a few chants with players names in them then so be it Quote
onlyoneawalker Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 (edited) This is what I'm on about it doesn't matter if we're in the prem or the conference north until we have this we are fighting failure instead of striving for success: Â All truly great teams possess an unbreakable unity which gives them the power to overcome their opposition whatever the circumstances. Their team spirit took them to great heights on the football field and transferred onto the battlefield when their country's need was greater Edited October 18, 2015 by onlyoneawalker Quote
radcliffe white Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Like Mounts said some clubs have the fan base to carry them through and get up, on the other hand look at portsmouth pondering in bottom league sheff united another example. Quote
SoberDan Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Lennon out! blokes clueless, we were a much more capable team under Freedman. This side could lose to literally anyone in the football league at the moment and Lennon's bizarre tactics aren't helping. Bolton are a losing team, a side that not only expects but accepts that no matter how well we start a game we are not good enough to win. 11 hours on a train on my Colin for that sh*t... I couldn't do this anymore if I didn't drink. Quote

snowball Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Des have a money tree in his garden? Anyway, we all know the formation and selection is Gartside's fault. Get rid of him and we'll be runaway winners of this division. We might get extra points given to us for style too. Enjoy watching this shite under your man next season. If Lennon isn't up to it (like Sammy Lee, Megson, Coyle and Freedman) who's fault is that? Oh no it can't be the man paid handsomely to make these decisions? Where exactly (assuming your are not actually related) do we need to end up before you stop with your constant pro Gartside/Davies spin? Like I said enjoy it next season, I'm sure Uncle Phil will nominate you fan of the year Quote

If not - have you ever mused that his relationship with ED might be the only thing stopping that debt being called in?  I'm Phil Gartside's Auntie by the way. Quote

Pompey & Sheffield Utd both have good support levels, that's true. Not helping that much, but then fans can't win games. Edited October 18, 2015 by Rembrandt Quote

Casino Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 just for clarity and humour me if you would but how do you think it happened?  in the interests of fairness, ill tell you what i think  i reckon its because we spent more than we had coming in, just as we had been doing before eddie came along  over to you? birch-chorley Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 The best bit for me is that the same folk who blame PG for getting us into debt by allowing the club to spend more than we had coming in are the ones slating him now for not spending more than we have coming in on a new striker  It's nothing short of bizzare, surely you're either in one camp or the other? kent_white Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Then maybe you can ask your nephew how he managed to build up the £175m debt. Don't worry - I'll ask him. I'm still curious to know what anyone thinks will change if he goes. We'll still be in debt - we'll still be under FFP.  Unless some new owners come in and sack my nephew as part of their takeover plans then I don't see what difference it would make. Apart from we'd have someone new to moan at.  I reckon Anewman might be right. We'll be in administration by Christmas. Quote

Casino Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 absolutely sure  the owner is key to this, not the chairman Quote

gonzo Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Who is this magic chairman that's going to come in and sort all this out? Â Alan Sugar? Quote
Take Hunt Off Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Only ED can resolve the current hiatus we are rudderless ship heading for the rocks. Quote
Spider Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 (edited) And what If ED is poorly and has other, more pressing matters, to now look after?  The sooner everyone accepts that there is no quick fix here - no magic wand, no Russian oligarch, no swivel-eyed Asians wanting us to dress up in geisha costumes - the sooner we can possibly adopt the siege mentality we desperately need.  Blame anyone you want, the solution will not be someone rocking up with £250,000,000 to sort it out.  Lennon is the very best we can have/get in our current predicament. He needs everyone behind him. Edited October 18, 2015 by Spider Quote
