The thing that will save him is that sacking him would uttey moronic. I know that there are a few naive folk - shall we call them "special" - who believe that there is a manager out there with magic p

Then maybe you can ask your nephew how he managed to build up the £175m debt.

Is this information not available in the published accounts?

Who is this magic chairman that's going to come in and sort all this out?

If Gartside has no impact on anything at all at the club why is he employed on such a huge salary?

If he's doing nothing, we should get rid, save the salary and not employ another one in his role

It's fucking depressing reading some of the stuff on here. We lost against a side who will be there or thereabouts at the end of the season. A side who've spent a lot more on one striker than we've spent since we got relegated. We were the better team for 30 mins until Spearing went off (which does beg the question why he's been on the bench so much ahead of, say, Danns?). We played some decent stuff - as we have in virtually every game this season. Casado looked a quality player - to go along with an entire defence (Prince, Derik, Pisano and Amos) which Lenny has brought in for fuck all, and who are all better than the players they've replaced - and on a fraction of the wages. The problem is that shopping in the bargain basement for strikers buys you Madine, Dobbie and an ex England international whose best days were 15 years ago. That's what our manager is having to work with. He doesn't get every tactical decision right (in my humble opinion, eg why no Clayton y'day?), but which manager does? We'll be fine. We won't go down. Get behind the team - starting on Tuesday - and stop with all the fucking moaning. Those who were there in 1986-87 know that this team is nothing like that one.

Without Gartside maybe we'd have a chairman who wouldn't make the mistake of hiring a little sam or Coyle or Freedman. That's why we are in this mess I think.

A good chairman would of thought twice about certain transfers such as Elmander. The damage is done.

Saw him in town on Friday, he said he's banned off here for reasons i can't remember.

I am not saying we should sack Lennon but his results speak for themselves 1 win all season bizarre tactics if this was DF we would be calling for him too be fired! He needs to sort it and now

Just watched highlights.

We had far more possession, more shots and same corners.

Was that the full showing of all our goal attempts?

If so we were lucky to only lose by 2 as they clearly had the best chances.

that would give the whole club a massive lift

The first 30 we were the better team. The problem is we didn't create many clear cut chances. One of the main reasons behind this was our ability to slow down every attack and allow teams to get behind the ball.

Caused by

Wellington doing 5 rollovers and waiting for cascado to overlap rather than pushing and running.

Madine having to drift all over the show to get the ball and then no one being in the box.

And having absolutely no one in the entire squad who is capable of running in behind.

Who is playing for themself?

Silva, lost the ball, did a flop instead of chasing back to help his team.

Judging by that post I'd say you are better off giving up the drink Dan

Haha in fairness to him I think Dan's post was just sheer frustration rather than an informed and considered critique. I had a chat with him at half time yesterday, he'd gone the 6.30 train from Reading and was staying over with family last night. I'm guessing he had a few scoops last night (he was perfectly sober at the game tbf) and that rant was down to the prospect of a 5 hour journey home with a banging headache! Hope you get home safe Dan

maybe, just maybe, play him on the right hand side

while i am in general agreement with the tone of your post, one reason we're short of cash for a decent striker is the fact we've got 8 'first team' defenders

and amos is not better than bogdan

and also, however good you might think his centre back signings have been, the two who started yesterday were both signed before lennon arrived

And what If ED is poorly and has other, more pressing matters, to now look after?

The sooner everyone accepts that there is no quick fix here - no magic wand, no Russian oligarch, no swivel-eyed Asians wanting us to dress up in geisha costumes - the sooner we can possibly adopt the siege mentality we desperately need.

Blame anyone you want, the solution will not be someone rocking up with £250,000,000 to sort it out.

Lennon is the very best we can have/get in our current predicament. He needs everyone behind him.

That is spot on

What is concerning is the lack of comment from ED; he may be ill and not in a position to make any decisions.

Still cant see how we got in such a debt but if it is right that ED took out the interest every year on that massive debt then you can see how it has gone upward

In reality, we are around £10m in debt. The rest ED owes to himself. He just doesn't want to borrow any more from himself/future generations of Davies

Think you might have got the wrong end of the stick slightly Chief W. I went home last night(staying over for Preston away was what I was on about). I left home just before 7am yesterday and I was meant to get back to Reading for 11pm too catch the last bus but thanks to Cross Country trains I got back to Reading at 2am and had to pay £20 for a cab.  So hence the rant, I have had enough of paying stupid money, travelling 100s of miles to watch a crap football team managed by an incompetent twat.

But isn't that's what supporting your team is all about?

Well t's more about a dayout with your mates on the piss really isn't it. If it weren't for the football we'd watch something else e.g cricket.

Silva, lost the ball, did a flop instead of chasing back to help his team.

Ah ok ta.

Doesn't surprise me

I really don't think he's the type of player we need, despite the odd bit of magic

Casino, agreed on the centre halves - what was up with Prince y'day? I'd much rather have his pace - Dervite was shown up a bit by Gray. And I reckon Amos is as good as Bogdan, with the potential to get better - and he'll be on considerably less than Bogdan's agent was presumably demanding once Liverpool were in the market for him.

Should let the fans meet and greet the players.. Let them know who they're playing for.. That or show a rocky esque montage

Burnden had the mentality of local ground.. Reebok / macron is and always will be just a stadium..

no doubt

i remember folk believing we'd offered him 30k a week to stay in the summer
