Eddie has had some abuse these past few weeks, a lot of it unwarranted by idiots.

  • So a bloke who gave us £150million is asking that his contribution be remembered by naming a room after him. Not a stand or the entire stadium. A room.   He's also asking that instead of getting his

I think the powers that be reckoned relegation cost us around £5m in lost sponsorship/tv money so I suppose promotion will be worth that

I very much doubt it cost us £5m

Our only hope is someone comes in with a load of money, who wants to gamble they can get us to the prem

On the plus side two 20k+ gates over Christmas will really help cash flow and may ease some decisions in the January window.

they couldn't be the worse games to have over Xmas. Shrewsbury fans are sacking it at £28 and Scunthorpes support is shite

I wasn't relying on away fans, we could potentially go top of the league in either if those games and I've always thought Boxing Day home crowds we decent.

I certainly won't be blaming the fixtures computer if we have to sell players in January.

If Boxing Day is your one and only game of the season you deserve to be paying £28.

Last Boxing Day home game with a gate below 20k was against Wigan in 1992 (11,493).

Though we've been playing Blackburn, Newcastle and Sheffield Wednesday of late, not Shrewsbury.

I could see a 20k gate for both Boxing day and NYE , or very close to it, especially if we are top or could go top.

£28 for away fans is a tad steep mind!

Im gonna guess that if we ever see the accounts, we will still have made a loss if TV income was £5m

im on about next season

So was I

If we get rid of our highest earners... it should be possible

Think I read somewhere that the fuzz up their charges for holiday games so part of it is profiteering but part is also covering extra costs

There is a phrase I haven't heard for about 20 years

Every game in country is cat A on Boxing Day.

It's a fiver tonight if anyone's that arsed.

Well I do live in Preston

Hope all this behind the scenes trouble with the shsres doesn't mess up all the great work Parky and his team have done it would be devastating he we went into administration and lost points.

Could have done without that article Deano

"I believe that the constant need for press attention and making "headlines" for certain people is not benefiting the manager the team, the fans or any of the people who work at the club..." - Dean Holdsworth.

Didn't really say anything we didn't already know
