famouswanderer Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 We run out of ideas and hoof to one of Madine/Heskey/Ameobi, which is fine if you get men around the target man. We don't seem to do that. We play it long and our CF is so isolated. Quote
Casino Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 chip the ball out to the guy on their right side just stood on his own. it was almost funny in the end it had to be a a piss take of their mon Quote
Carlos Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 There seems to be an assumption that a goalscorer is just someone who taps it in? There are players who are capable of making and scoring goals by themselves by picking the ball up deep and carrying it e.g Patrick Bamford last season was unplayable. Quote
Cinnykid Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Those players are very rare and highly unlikely we'll get one anytime soon Quote
Carlos Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Bollocks, Bamford can't get a game at Palace. Quote
famouswanderer Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Bollocks, Bamford can't get a game at Palace. Which is weird becuase they have had injuries and their strikers aren't really scoring any goals. Quote
famouswanderer Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 it was almost funny in the end it had to be a a piss take of their mon Their man on the right seemed to be confused by the whole thing. He didn't really make the most of the space he was getting. If he'd have been half decent we would of been fucked. Quote

Casino Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Maybe that was the reason for the master-plan of leaving him unmarked? good point we seem to do it a lot with opposition strikers Quote

Wigan have signed a Dutch winger from Boro on loan, he's been getting rave reviews, I know he's playing at a league below us, but it's a pity we didn't sign him. Quote
gonzo Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 A goalscorer wouldn't change much as we don't create clear cut chances, forget the debt and state of the club, the style of football is dire, way to slow and too many sideways/backwards passes what happened to the high intensity football he promised us. Would like a change before we get cut adrift A change to who? Quote
Sweep Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 A change to who? Mourinho, as he looks to be on borrowed time at Chelsea Quote
Dr Faustus Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Mourinho, as he looks to be on borrowed time at Chelsea Can't see him scoring more than 10 a season Quote
Cinnykid Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 A change to who?[/quote Would love Pearson but highly unlikely can't be any worse no matter who comes, seems like the players aren't playing for him Quote
Rizlar Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 I blame NL he sets the team up and dictates the style of play we just don't look fit enough ! Still don't understand why sign 2 right backs and play a cart horse instead for me NL as 3 games to get a win otherwise get shut if we don't we will be playing league1 football next season. I really want him to succeed though! Quote
tyldesley_white Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 highly unlikely can't be any worse no matter who comes, Been used before and its showed to to be completely wrong Quote
gonzo Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 (edited) A change to who? Would love Pearson but highly unlikely can't be any worse no matter who comes, seems like the players aren't playing for him Highly unlikely being an understatement to the highest degree. We have absolutely no chance of getting anyone of that calibre. We are in a complete mess. No money and a sqaud full of championhip journeymen. We'd be looking at Phil Brown or some other dufus from league 1 or below. I lost all faith in our players on Saturday. Tactics aside...if you can't get yourself motivated for a local derby 6 pointer in front of a packed away end then there's no manager in the world that can talk any sense in to you. I personally don't think Lennon has lost the players. I reckon they are just fucking crap. Edited November 3, 2015 by gonzo Quote
Casino Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 (edited) things that suggest the players aren't crap performance against derby much of the game v qpr 44 minutes at huddersfield in those games we played pretty well for large periods id say we are inconsistent, short of confidence and the coaching looks shite and theres some very strange selections and if it gets any worse than saturday, we may as well give up Edited November 3, 2015 by Casino Quote
Dr Faustus Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Flitcroft just talked sense on GMR... Oh, apart from thinking each club should get equal dibs of the money Quote
Underpants Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 If Lennon was to get the sack, it will signal the end of Gartside. Quote
Sweep Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Lose on Saturday, and Lennon is gone I would have thought Quote
Casino Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 i make it 6 wins this year 1 this season lets be honest, tonight isnt the yardstick but i feared on saturday he had completely lost the plot of the team that started the season, only clough and moxey aren't available clough offered very little and can be replaced by clayton moxey has been replaced by casado why cant we get back to basics and try to get back to that seems pretty obvious but it did involve playing a right back Quote

Knowing your best team and formation and sticking to it. We seem to be cursed with managers of late who haven't a clue in that respect. Ok you get injuries, but that shouldn't mean your defence is a group of passing strangers each match. Quote
Casino Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 tbf, when youre a manager losing regular you must feel like youre getting dragged down the plughole and you frantically look fora way of not going under what gets me about NL is that hes had the easiest ride imaginable hes come under no pressure from the fans and really should be able to do his own thing and stick by his convictions instead of having 10/12 k experts screaming abuse at him my worry is that his convictions might be 352 Quote
