jagermoot Posted November 8, 2015 Author Posted November 8, 2015 If the formation was 3 at the back, who would you pick for the back 3? Quote
jagermoot Posted November 8, 2015 Author Posted November 8, 2015 Scratch that, what team would you put out? Quote
Anderson Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Amos Prince, Wheater, Derik Pisano, Spearing, Vela, Casado Davies, Clayton Madine/Shola I've gone for Pisano and Casado purely because none of our "wingers" can defend in the slightest. Quote
Blondi Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 I would keep the same defense that started on Saturday and Mark Davies needs pushing further forward and playing just behind Ameobi. Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 All the formations/teams mentioned are similar to what's been tried by NL and the results haven't yet arrived, therefore we need to try something different to help get us goals, front to back quicker (long ball) in the short term might help put pressure on defenses not allowing them to get organized, away from home I'd try to play on the break with pace, using Silva (when fit) and Feeney, again get ball forward quickly into the channels, also think using Ameobi either in the hole or in a free role behind Madine, these ideas may or may not work but I'd give them a whirl as long as we have a solid settled back 4 with a holding midfielder, or even 2 holding midfielders away from home. isaacunt Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 I aint been many matches over the past 3 years, but that Feeney is fculin KACK!!! Quote

Alf Hartigan Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 I'll bet Schrodinger's cat doesn't even know our best formation Quote
Arrested development Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 (edited) Amos Wilson Prince Wheater Moxey Spearing Vela Feeney M.Davies Pratley Clayton We've tried the target man approach and it's proven to ineffective. It's too easy to defend against and gives us the excuse to pump long aimless balls to our isolated striker. I'd rather see us get the ball down on the floor and try get Mark Davies involved higher up the pitch , and see if we can get Clayton in behind as his movement is very good. Eavesy Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Would Clough get in the team considering his form before his injury? Quote
Biggish Dave Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Yes - still better than anything we have. Just not as a lone striker Quote
