only1swanny Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 fcuking hell, youre naive Nope just trying to be hopeful. Nothing the club have done recently makes any business sense Quote

Rembrandt Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 It's all gone very quiet. No news is, possibly, good news? In our case, no news is just the usual no news. Quote
burnden Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 my guessing is that there isnt just holdsworths crew in the game I hope your guess turns out to be correct. Quote
Traf Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 I know that we had to make a part payment, as according to "the rules" if players don't receive any payments for two months they are free to cancel their contracts......so had we not paid them anything this month, I think they were free to walk from 1st January 2016. Now if we enter administration, the administrators can sell the players (if anybody wants them) - had we not paid, they would have walked for nothing. So it could be that giving them a part payment (and not a full one) is the ideal scenario for putting the club into administration, as at least they are now, in theory, saleable assets. Indeed, hardly rocket salad is it? Quote
Traf Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Maybe that's the deadline for a buyer. Who knows? Perhaps we're hoping when the transfer window opens in a couple of days, massive bids come in for some of players, then we'll no longer be in the shit. Wait as long as we can, as you never know what's around the corner. We might beat Eastleigh and draw Arsenal/United etcx away in the Cup, generating a shit load of cash from gate receipts and TV money, thus keeping the wolves and Holdsworth's mob at bay. Quote
tarian1979 Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Up until the Wembley debacle Coyle was outstanding for us. His happy clappy management style wasn't able to give the players the kicking to get their heads out of their arse. hmmm up til two weeks prior and picking your best team away at man u instead of leaving your keyman out. Result, best player crippled Quote

Basically mostly championship quality players or worse signed on premier league money, his judgement of players worth and ability pathetic. Quote
Guest Blixa Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 To give him some credit, he did bring in Sturridge and Wilshire on loan, as well as signing Stu Holden for nowt. I think that's about it though. Maybe he was working to a reduced budget in his last season, but he still spent some decent money. Quote

I seem to remember Marc Iles once tweeting that he knew of 2 previous BWFC managers that used fantasy football for scouting potential signings. Coyle nailed on IMO. Quote

Ratwhite Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 my guessing is that there isnt just holdsworths crew in the game Your guess would appear to be correct, if you believe Iles "The next hurdle faced by the club is a considerable one – and all efforts will now be channelled into staving off a winding-up order from HMRC over an unpaid tax bill, due at the High Court on January 18. Efforts to secure a new owner continue, with the club maintaining that more than one party are currently in negotiation." Quote
bolton va va Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Thought Megson signed Robinson. I think Megson brought Robinson ( & Klasnic ) in on loan, but Coyle signed them permanently. Quote

I think we only signed Robinson because we had too many loanees. I do not think Robinson would make the top 25 If we listed shit signings of last 10 years Quote
