It's strange you slate Lennon so powerfully who's doing a job with little moral support or financial backing yet choose to defend the job done by Gartside which has brought us where we are today.

Selling bits off also makes it more affordable to investors

Did we want non-playing assets anyway? Fuck em

Edited by boltondiver

Dunno what the businessy word for it is , but what if the NewOwner(A) and NewOwner( B ) are the same person ?

Collusion. ish.

Is that like Sean Davis and Stuart holden?

offices/hotel leased according to iles.

Collusion. ish.

by A and B i meant that the new owner of 'the offices' could also , later on , buy the club . They bide their time (and money) buying up the ground and that , then get the club last for a 50 pence piece. Not that A get his Brother to pose as B to dodge some sales tax, then merge companies ten minutes later.

I didn't mean owt dodgy. (although that modular piecemeal way i discribed might be with big businesses , i dunno)

seems a long winded way of going about it, but i don't know if someone doing that has to state upfront what theyre ultimately after doing.

I'm calling it a "Cheapskate's Reverse Takeover"

Maybe it's just me but the press release seemed pretty positive in light of what was expected. We'd paid players, we had leased some buildings and we 'might' have to sell players, as opposed to the view that everyone would be gone at a minute past midnight on New Year's Day.

Not exactly the news that an Arab with a spending obsession has come in, but it could have been a lot worse.

People are working hard to save what we have, good luck to them.

It's not just you

But somehow Iles does his best in his piece to paint a different picture

I wonder if English is his first language

He is a journalist looking for a story. 'No new news from Bolton, players paid as expected' ain't a story.

Have you read his piece

Plenty folk won't get as far as the statement and the picture he paints is miles from the club release

I think he has a duty to post the facts as he has them

Not invent things

You know better than that Cas

His job is to turn facts into a story

If those facts are rather dull, non-controversial ones, it's his job to twist every word into something that will sell that hopeless fucking rag he writes for.

He's a journalist, not a historian.

We are finished

No one is coming in to buy BWFC, its over.

We may get someone trying to restart a football team from the basis of a ground and a few assets but not till next season and by then we will be lucky to be accepted into the conference.

its over, stop thinking someone will "step in"

We have no divine right to owt.

last home game Saturday, lets have a great day and tell everyone we were there when it ended.  sad very sad but reality is we have been propped up by financial obewankanobee.

see you all Saturday or that's why we are in this mess

These last games are coming thick and fast arent they? That must be about 8 or 9 now.

Fuck off grego.

Fuck off grego.

i asked him nicely

i definitely prefer your way

* multi-millionaire total fuckwits.

Talking about what they have done for BWFC, but you already knew that.

alternatively

we've sold a few offices

its not the centre  circle, is it?

That will be next. Car Parks, Hotel, Lostock, Euxton,Offices. Players next. All to pay staff, Tax man and other short term debts. It's all adding up and all making us less attractive to new owners, surely?

Honestly struggling to see how you have gone from saying you would have to be a madman to buy the club to being so relaxed as everything of any value is sold off or mortgaged. Can only be headed one way without a madman/investors coming in.

I think most people's reaction is that selling things off is envitable as we are losing £1m per month. It might be offices, it might be players but the stuff we have costs too much to run so we need less of it.

The worrying thing is that if you sell stuff when you are desperate you will never get full value.

Wonder who bought the offices?

I am getting sick of all this shit it's taking way too long so if these morons don't have the money so tell us and go into administration and let's start again.

Wasn't the whole point of FFP that you needed other income so that's why we had the school, hotel etc - if we sell them off don't we struggle to comply?

How did that foreign golf place we were involved in get on?

Had the thought maybe a tad optimistically that Robinson might be THEIR man maybe protecting our younger assets & getting bout the higher earning lags so as to reduce running costs & facilitate the takeover.

:)

It seems like we need someone in the club with at least clue about the right wages to be paying players in this division as it clear that currently we pay way too much.

People might not like the idea of selling the better players but if we are losing £50k per week we need to get rid, losing players who are only good enough to have us bottom of the league is not as a disaster.

Of the three people seemed worried about Vela, Mavies and Clough you do well to get 50 games from them combined.
