The boy has become disillusioned this season. Nothing makes me happier than seeing his face at the final whistle, and the unbridled joy at hearing Quo. Sadly, this has not happened anywhere near enough in the last 12 months.

 

He is unwell, slight temperature, and didn't leave the house yesterday. I asked him, all things considered, whether he still wants to go. His bemused response was;

 

'Yes Daddy, it's our thing'

 

This is what matters to me; no matter how shite it is on the field, as long as there is one of us passionate and prepared enough to get behind the team, I'll be there.

 

The thought of not going never entered his head, and didn't seriously enter mine... It's like an illness.

 

We may well get dicked, the money could no doubt be better spent elsewhere, but fuck it...

I see Madine & Heskey have gone into hiding (sorry, are injured). The kids will find it hard going, but they're the future.

I see Samzidah was training with the first team this week.........

 

Bring on the kids, I couldn't care if we get stuffed again, as long as the kids try. They'll be needed next year so give them some experience to the end of the season.

 

I'd also like to see the likes of Davies, Wheater etc get no more money out of us than their basic salaries, Fook 'em
