Still there will be another Somali born athlete in the final - Mohammed Ahmed of Canada. The USA's two representatives in the final are Bernard Lagat and Paul Chelimo, both born in Kenya. None of Kenya's three entrants qualified for the final, in which there are at least three Kenyan born athletes. If by any chance it is a super slow race, watch out for Peru's (Japanese born) David Torrence, who has run 1:45.6 for 800m. I presume his father was American as he was raised in LA and attended Loyola High School there, a school with a very strong sporting background.
