  • Booing achieves fook all. If you think about it, you are working against the interests of what you actually want (i.e. BWFC success).   To be successful, optimism must win over pessimism. Always hat

  • Cheers Burnden. Cracking was that.

Fairly shite first half, much better 2nd half. Spearing and Davies look like Messi & Iniesta in this division.

How long did it take us to reach 12 pts last season?

Onwards & Upwards.

Took 18 games to get to 12 points - a 1-1 draw with Brentford in December. Now only 1 win behind last seasons total

Th'East Midlands Whites are just back, and the committee has voted unanimously in favour of the the motion "shall we drink heavily?".

Cheers for that,i knew it took us a while to reach 12 pts last season, didn't realise it was Dec!!. It's a piece of piss this division innit?

Parky post match

Woah! I feel good, I knew that I would

Ace feeling when we win and are top of the league. Fucking belting. Love Bolton me!

First game for me this season.

Mistake for their goal, but couldn't believe people booing at half time when we have won 3 out of 3.

Second half much better, created a good few chances and should have scored more. Some great balls in from the right side, but they should have equalised from that dropped cross in injury time.

Spearing, vela and wheater were excellent. I even thought madine put a decent shift in. Cough is starting to get on my nerves, is he made of paper?

Just a few thoughts.

Definitely a game of too halves. I didn't think we deserved to be 0-1 down at half time, but equally we didn't deserve very much as we hadn't played well. Moxey had plenty of the ball in acres of space but nothing came from it. It looked like they were quite happy to let him have it. He was also caught napping on the goal. Not good. Buxton looks like he doesn't enjoy going forward but he is a solid defender - nothing goes past him! Both were better in the second half.

The manager's magic obviously worked at half time as we came out with much more pace and urgency. Madine early header, which the keeper made a very good save, set the tone for the next 45 mins. Woolery using his pace to run into the channels meant they put the ball our for throw ins numerous times and attacks could be built form high up the pitch.

We had pressure on their goal that we haven't seen in years - long may it continue.

The triangle of Wheater, Beavers and Spearing was excellent again. It gives us a solid defence. Howard nearly gave me a heart attack at the end! Last year that would have gone in.

I think this is the way it is going to be. We are going to win ugly - but it's better than losing stylishly. Strong at the back and scrap it out.

We ran the clock down really well in injury time - held the ball for a good two minutes.

Makes watching the football tonight all the better - no matter how brief we will be!

Booing at half time.

We have some absolute fucking retards in our stadium. They're the Smithills Gent type who obviously get the fuck kicked out of them by their wives when they get home and have to clean the kitchen floor with a toothbrush.

Does the Northern Soul avatar hint at a penchant for all things Wigan? :)

We were losing when I left the game

NB - Jonah

How come Hartlepool v Notts county gets about 5 times more highlights than our game. Piss poor from wank channel 5

Bloke behind me was moaning Moxey would not take his man on 'skin him' was a regular demand, even when he was in defence.

I was referring to the eponymous poster on here who - thankfully - disappeared a good many months ago.

He represented a minority of our fans who I am convinced turn up only to moan, piss and whine regardless of how things are actually going.

I put this down to a personality and lifestyle situation that dictates a need to vent their spleen at a group of footballers who cannot respond, mainly because they are downtrodden, boring types who go unheard at home.

In other words, they are such shit human beings that they have convinced themselves their constantly negative bellowing at a football match means they matter, somehow.

The rest of us tend to just support the team.

IIRC was he not a Wiggin WUM?

Apart from the football team, yes.

Very good summary

The ridiculous cunts

It wasn't good first half, for sure, but there's some who need to find a bit of patience. If that keeps being in short supply, so will be the confidence. Good start and PP's management are slowly rebuilding it but it's still fragile in some of the players
