Proctor is doubtful, Clayton still out. Scrappy 1-0 will do for me

1-1

Disappointing but remain unbeaten

Any sort of win will do

3-0 easy win

Having had our 2 worst starts in 100 years in recent season it'd be nice to win and equal our best start in 82 years

Looking forward to this. Dreams of the title now the away albatross isn't around our necks.

Hope the rumours that we have turned down bids for four players don't unsettle the team.

2-0 Proctor, Clough.

A stroll to victory.

We have found our level

It's somewhere between divisions 2 and 3.

100 points.

I went watching them on Wednesday night.

They play with a sweeper keeper.

High energy game, all players as fit as a fiddle.

Fast lads up front.

Play the percentage game, pass it about at the back then down the channels.

They scored with two cracking shots se we need to be on our gaurd.

Probs home win but if I were betting I'd go 1-1.

Oh, forgot to say, crowd was 2614 and that included 200 Oxford fans so I'd be surprised if they brought 500

First game tomorrow.. hope we win can't remember the last time I saw us win in the league

What's a sweeper keeper?

Don't quote me on this but I'd say It's a goalie who (when he's not saving shots) plays as an extra defender at the edge of and outside his penalty area (obviously good with his feet) thus allowing his team to switch play across the pitch. He will push up the field at every opportunity, expect him to be stood nearer the halfway line than his own area when they get a corner. He can then mop up any long punts as necessary or back track when required.

Or alternatively, just ask Joe Hart! :)

High scoring open game, 3-3.

Comical defending and humour all round.

Jamie and Oliver Vardy for them, Stan Laurel, Stan Bowles and Stan Dup for us.

I'll revise my high scoring game and go for an even higher scoring game due to the forecasted weather conditions.

Can see us getting off to a flier, and coasting it to begin with.

Mark Fish with a delicate chip will sea Mike Salmon fishing the ball out of the net, before the keeper pulses off a string of saves and showing he's worth his salt.

Martin Pike will add a second with Nicky Halibutt angling one in from a corner. Plenty of flare shown by the Wanderers before The Hand of Cod scores a debatable brace and we're no longer cruising.

Parky can't fathom it out, demands we stop shipping goals in and to drop anchor.

Harold Shipman comes on for us and with a swift jab at the ball, extends the lead. Fleetwood are enjoying their first visit to our plaice and see us as a big fish and they're up for the scrap.

Paul Mariner pulls another back for them smoking one past our replacement showboating goalie Uncle Al Bert Troutman.u

Jamie Mackerel immediately covers the length and breadth of the pitch to net another for us but Floyd Hasselriverbank pulls back another for them, slotting past Kevin Pool. A torrent of attacks continues at both ends, with wave after wave of attacks and torrents of chances. Time rapidly runs out but not before Kevin Drinkwater kills the game off for us.

Bobby Sands even had an appetite for the game, and The Whites lay down a fine example to their piers.....

. Come on Miami, this is going to be a good season. Get your coaches going again ????

Clayton still out.

When is that lad ever not injured?

How many games has he played in the last 3 years? About 15 or so?

Wiki says he's made 17 appearances for us, wish we could see him with a prolonged run in the side

He's out of contract at the end of this season too. I reckon it will be bye bye Clayton.

On call but attending .

Sober embankment.

Crap weather.
