Matt Lofthouse Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 I reckon the Old Albion team would beat these cunts who wear the White shirt of our once great football team. In fact I bet Mullys over fcukin 40's would turn em over!!!Speaking of which the game at half time last night was more entertaining. Bloke near me shouted half way through it show for the ball you lazy bastards Regarding the main event last night, my all time low as a wanderer. Seriously contemplating bothering with Bury. Quote
Guest Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 That's the impression I'm getting today pal. My phones not stopped, I've been flagged over in my van twice and my Facebook account is boarder line cyber bullying. I have the pleasure of living in rochdale. Really shit traffic getting there Quote
Farrelli Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 Certainly shocking times to be a wanderer, Rochdale, Bury, Oldham, they will be queueing up to have a go at us. Quote
enzo gambaro Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 the pace argument is nonsense. We lack movement, ideas and the decision making skills. Do you not think our lack of pace contributes to your list of alternative shortcomings? Quote
HomerJay Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 not particularly... no doubt it would help, but people put pace as the be all and end all. Quote
frank_spencer Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 Not seen the game but losing to Rochdale has to be the lowest point for me since I started going in 92. Only thing that will be lower is either losing at home to them or losing at any time to Bury. Rochdale have always been the small inoffensive club up the road, the fact they are better than us shows how shit we have become. Quote
roybarker Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 3500 there to roar them on What do we get-nothing I would only give Taylor,Wilson and Trotted 3/10 - you are not going to win games carrying 3 passengers Lowest point since losing to Stoke Quote

Ani Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 Proctor didn't get boo'd And the pace argument is nonsense. We lack movement, ideas and the decision making skills. He was getting shit off everyone round me, and i do not mean the odd comment, dogs abuse, others have mentioned see Casinos post. If you really think having no pace in a football team is not an issue you are talking nonsense. We have no options in attack to play a ball out, no threat because no one goes past a man and stretches the game. (i assume you are talking about the main game not the half time entertainment). I am not just talking about pace up front, it is as much an issue in midfield neither Trotter or Spearing are fast enough especially when they play together, there is a reason Spearing keeps getting booked I saw we lack mobility you say movement, so lets assume we are agreeing there. HomerJay Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 Anderson has a bit of pace. He was useless. Although I do think he had promise. Woolery had pace. Couldn't get in the team. My point was that it's not the main part of the problem. It will not solve anything. Quote
Guest Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 Depends what people mean by pace. We don't necessarily need lightning fast players. It is more that lots of our lot are very slow. Especially in midfield. There is nobody who has a change of pace. And it makes us predictable. Quote
enzo gambaro Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 Anderson has a bit of pace. He was useless. Although I do think he had promise. Woolery had pace. Couldn't get in the team. My point was that it's not the main part of the problem. It will not solve anything. It won't solve anything on it's own but it makes the other stuff easier. Besides, pace isn't just about running fast. Moving the ball quickly instead of spending half the game emulating last night's half time entertainment would bring immediate improvement. Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 We're lacking speed of thought far more than physical speed. Quote
captainmed Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 I put a stopwatch on Trotter at home to Bradford, he went nearly 11 minutes without touching the ball. In the first half yesterday, he barely touched it neither. What does this man offer on the pitch? Trotter is as poor as it gets, he really is. Quote

ianofcleveleys Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 They did a smart job on Spearing too, targeted him and put two buzzing around him to rush him and stop him dictating play. Proctor got a lot of stick from folk round me too, bit harsh, not much went right for him but he never stopped showing and tried his bollocks off. He also set up the sitter Henry missed. Where we badly lack pace is in wide areas, neither full back has any, Henry's not that quick, neither was Taylor. Limited as he was, we badly miss somebody like Feeney who could carry the ball and run at people at a rate of knots Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 We let our fastest player go and brought in Anderson. Just after he'd helped turn round the Fleetwood scoreline. Quote

BWFC_LOVE Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 Thorpe made a couple of decent challenges but his aimless punts upfield were plentiful and he didn't win a single header all night. Was willing to give Wilson a chance at this level but that ship has sailed. Vela is a much better right back than he is a midfielder. Anderson can't be blamed at all for me. He dropped back a lot and was just left chasing long balls, which obviously doesn't suit his game. He'd be excellent in a passing side. Replacing him with Clough unsurprisingly brought the same results. Proctor is not a target man. He takes it on the chest well and runs the channels, but he's not one for holding the ball up and I'm not putting any blame on him. I decided Chris Taylor was shit after ten minutes against Sheffield United. Felt sorry for him last night though. Henry is frustrating but is certainly a decent outlet. Howard isn't great; I don't have a lot of faith in him. I can't wait to get Madine back. He's been sorely missed and is certainly a huge factor in our six game winless run IMO. All in all I blame the man in charge. Fair play for sorting us out at the back, but it's not good at the moment. Quote
Walkden White Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 Can someone give Anderson a quick ring and check he doesn't turn up in Rochdale tonight. Must have his dates mixed up because I certainly didn't see him last night. Funny how different people see games. Apart from his fuck up for the goal I thought Thorpe was one of the better players. I actually thought Trotter would be decent at this level, but fucking hell, last night?! The treatment Taylor got when he was subbed was out of order. He was shit without doubt, but how on earth is ironically cheering him going off constructive in any way? Didn't get involved in the ironic cheering of Taylor and agree that it doesn't help but he was bloody poor. What he should have done was just walk off, accept he didn't play well and move on. The looking back at the crowd did him no favours and will have harmed him in the long run. We keep getting told players are professionals - he should have acted like one. Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 WTF is up with Madine?Problems with the warranty. Quote
