  • Benedict Cumberbatch played Alan Turing in The Imitation Game, he's not even a proper bummer.

  • Not quite a show… but the missus has fallen asleep mid program; I do it all the time, just watch on… she doesn’t agree. She’s now fallen asleep 3 times during last 10 mins of episode of Outlaws.

Watched that Pete Doherty, Who Killed My Son? On 4 last night. I didn't know anything about that case, the cctv footage was awful, not least people running past the body and away down the street afterwards.

Wasn't expecting to burst out laughing like i did watching the Jill Dando documentary (Netflix)

The clip of Barry George attempting his roller skate stunt jump over 4 double decker buses was quite remarkable

"Hello. I'm clearly mentally ill, I've named myself after a TV star/character and I'd like to attempt to jump over 4 double decker buses. No, I've never done it before"

"Hang on, we'll bring a TV crew out to film you"

New series of Das Boot starting on 11th October. F'kin great.

A lot of talk about Jilly Coopers 'Rivals' being filmed all around Malaga at the moment.

Star Wars folk -Ashoka has developed into a brilliant series, well worth your time if you're into it. Works better if you've watched Star Wars Rebels though

Woah Tex, different types of sci-fi.

Frank Herbet, Issac Asimov, Douglas Adams, Aldous Huxley, Mary Shelly and Philip K. Dick, might have something to say about that.

They can be warnings, alagorical tales or meta-takes on the human condition untenthered by pure naturalism -  Frankenstein is one of my favourite all time stories about a man reaching too far.

I'd say your world is a poorer place if you don't let your imagination invest in world's created by ingenious story tellers, and I'd certainly put George Lucas in that bracket.

Just listening to Brave New World on audible funnily enough.

Mad narrator, but a sensational book

The film Boiling Point has been made into a TV programme - its now on the iPlayer. Really good, not quite as good as The Bear but more stressful to watch.

@Spider you'll love it, its a posh london resturant run by northerners making posh takes on northern food - such as Lobby. I kid you not. In the scene some posh wanker goes, 'so it's just a stew then?'

Random one, but Cracker started 30 years ago last week so they're showing them all on ITV2/4.

Interesting seeing different parts of pre-bomb Manchester city centre if nothing else.
