  • Not quite a show… but the missus has fallen asleep mid program; I do it all the time, just watch on… she doesn’t agree. She’s now fallen asleep 3 times during last 10 mins of episode of Outlaws.

Did anyone see The Real Peaky Blinders on BBC2? If you can stand an hour or two of that accent it was an interesting watch.

I found the show quite illuminating.

Was it Carl Chinn? Read his book and listened to a really good podcast with him. Like you say quite illuminating. Never watched Peaky Blinders and don’t think I can now knowing the difference between the series and reality

University Challenge - Imperial college, none of them has had sex with a human being ever.

This is it mate:

Mr. Chinn used as a reference point and appears in it (I think!). Didn't take much notice of names of those interviewed as all my resolve was being used to overcome Brummie accent induced nausea.

I've saved it to my list but I really need to work out what's what with these series.

I watched the first series about 10 years ago, how many have there been after that, this is never only season 3, have Netflix rebooted it?

Yeah, Channel 4 cancelled it and Netflix revived it with the help of Drake, he was fan of it

Only started watching it a few months back. Glad I did

Still can't make it past season 3 of Homeland had another go a couple of weeks ago 😁

Watch Top Boy Summer house 1&2

Then series Top Boy 1 & 2

My kids try and sound like they are in Top Boy.

They go to school in Canterbury. Y'get me Fam?

To be honest I think its just piss taking out of the Roadmen , of which there are many in East Kent.

Started watching Vikings Valhalla

Very decent, though historians may get picky about some of the details.

Was hoping for more tits but there's time yet.

Finally finished Vikings, and now back onto The Last Kingdom (so much better)

Will get round to this - but I might need a break from a Viking funeral/sacrifice before I do.

I've just blasted through Valhalla and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Assume I now need to go and watch the Vikings series in its entirety?

Yep, they really developed her character after the first season

Top Boy got shite when they extended it to 8-10 episodes, just a load of unnecessary filler guff

I'm going to start that this week, I'm currently 3 books in as well, so I need to get a wriggle on reading them - are the books and the series the same, or does the series wander off a bit?

It took me from July last year to watch Vikings - and I finished on Sunday. Some bits really drag...as I say one more blood sacrifice and...

but overall, when its good, its really good. Loads of fit birds and cracking knockers as well - keeps you going.

There’s no better fuel for a boxsets than a regular helping of tidy busters.

Ill give it a go.

Or that Last Kingdom.

Never read the books. The first series is the first two books I believe and they don't wander.

What TLK benefits from is that the story comes from novels so all the story is set out and they can get on with telling it without much filler. Plus its much more historically spot on. In many ways they perhaps try and put too much into episodes.

The guy who plays Alfred - David Dawson - is outstanding. I thought his name was familiar and he won loads of awards for a show I worked on years ago as Smike in Nicholas Nickleby. The actors are just loads better in TLK

Vikings for more busters

TLK for a better show in which the Saxons kick the Danes arses.

Anyone on

Your spelling and grammar are appalling and you should be ashamed of yourself

Apart from that, guilty on all accounts, except my favourite film is obviously Flashdance you fool. Dirty Dancing is for non-deviants

Jaq’s sister in top boy. I’d eat cereal out of her arse dimples

Peakys... A reason to cut your losses...

Brummie hardman Cillian Murphy is 5 foot 7

Hard man arfur isn't much taller.

This only come to light this series when a yank came in and turned it into an episode of the borrowers.
