That's what the directors have stated, but I imagine the conversation went something like:

JR: I want to join Stockport

Directors: Don't you want to stay here and play in League Two?

JR: Nah

That doesn't mean he doesn't want to play at that level, just that it isn't a dealbreaker. He's 29 and has one year left on his contract. He's just been offered a three-year contract, presumably on better terms, at a club aiming to win promotion back to the EFL.

Not starting a new thread for this but are we going to do what @Biggish Dave suggested and get some sponsorships funded for some of the players from a few off here? Would be great to support the new players and get some more money into the club. I would be in if others interested?
