We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

The issue, as far as I can see with Hull, is they've four players to offload and £6m to get in, so unless one of the others goes for £2-3m they'll be looking for more for Burstow than we'd see as value

Aye. If it was just cutting costs they'd probably let us have him for free. I'd say his value is around the 500-750k mark. If there's no real interest and they cant get an auction going they'll either have to accept what they're offered or continue paying him for another year.

Apologies, got this one wrong, jumped the gun I think. Schumacher still doesn't think he's the right profile.

He doesn't jump out as what we need looking at the video, if SS thinks he's great fair enough I'd bow to his greater knowledge and presumably he'd have seen him play full matches. But given that we can only sign one or 2 right backs I'd be happy to see what else is out there whether perm or loan.

I'd like us to play against Burstow next season, put it that way.

But we'll be coming up against faster, stronger, better finishers unfortunately.

If they don't sell him I'd expect him to go on loan to a L1 club (assuming he stays in England).

No wonder we haven't signed anyone.

Good to see he’s keeping the white wall going..

Talent spotting whilst on holiday at the world cup.

Brilliant idea.

That Iraqi striker caught the eye, great header too.

All in navy-blue shorts/skirt too.

It's a sign.

His missus looks a proper Scouser

Plenty of other players of theirs I wouldn't mind if they're having a fire sale.

That Kasey Palmer on loan at Luton looked v decent last season

WW is being ruined. Cheese can have his moments but ffs this is a whole new level; it's worse than SPAM emails. Yes I'm mostly a lurker on WW, but I genuinely enjoy the gossip, opinions and other stuff Bolton and beyond. Atm the dominance of Sluffy and his dissertation level word counts are dulling my soul. Thank Christ we went up otherwise it would be even more unbearable

I remember, around about 4 weeks ago, everyone on here got along for about 10 mins and there was absolutely 0 negativity at all, happy times man.

Didn't watch the game but New Zealand have a right winger called Elijah Just, scored a brace and currently plays for Motherwell, be interesting to see how he plays next game.

I think anyone who is playing half decent at the moment at the world cup could find their value going up by quite a lot. Look at the Cape Verde lot, they were awesome, one of their CBs plays for shamrock rovers

If anything, good performances from a previously unknown player should put them on a 'to monitor' list as opposed to buying.

I thought he looked decent a few years back at Bristol City, but he's one of them players who never seems to stay anywhere for any length of time and he must be 30 or older.

I don’t want him solely because he’s called Kasey

But you could miss out.

Remember a young starlet called Gardner?

When i said "A few players have caught my eye from teams traditionally we could compete with at this level but with their performances in a world cup will cause their values to go crazy." this is who i was thinking of after that game.

I might be wrong on this, but I thought we signed Ricardo prior to World Cup: circa May 1998. I’m sure I watched Jamaica to see what he was like, and was smug as pundits praised his performances.

I got drawn in initially, mainly because I remembered what happened last time. Just stick him on ignore and skip any replies to him.
