It could have been during but deffo not before as I remember watching the Jamaica game I'm the pub with my mate and him absolutely destroying a full back and I said to my pal we could do with a winger like that. Then we went and signed him and my mate was calling me psychic for ages after. Never got another one after that though 🤣

Click on your name top right , click ignored users, add name you want to ignore .

Using my phone, if that matters, my name is not on the top right.

I have probably made a fundamental error, but it isn't there.

If I click my name & nice parrot picture it shows my profile but nowhere does it say "ignored users".

Signed after, fairly sure.

Maybe they were already aware of him, but I'm sure I remember watching him at the world cup and thinking he would be a good signing.

Either way, sometimes a chance has to be taken, before someone else does.

You and @maje are correct. He signed in August 1998. In my defence, it’s getting towards 30 years ago!

Sonny Sharples gone to Hednesford Tiwn on permanent deal. Shame that another of our youth graduates won’t make the grade with us, but don’t think he was cut out for championship level. Good luck to the lad.

Struggled a bit at Torquay. Hednesford NLN so should be OK. The Academy needs to match the division we are in. Doesn't look if it is going to get CAT2 this season though.

PS - Don't go writing transfer news and gossip in this thread, its's for everything but.

The fact that he couldn't get a game for Torquay should have been a good indictor that he he isn't good enough. Some on here genuinely thought he was gonna break into our team lol.

Good luck to the lad but he's nowhere near the level we need.

Good place for him to build his career. HTFC doing a hybrid model, so he'll most likely still be fulltime, which is important at his age. I'm sure he has the talent to forge a good career, but he needs to play games

On a very slow week-end concerning all things BWFC the BEN are now saying we are taking offers for both Taylor and Randall

Not a clue on this one but it is also being reported we are in advanced talks with Luca Stephenson.....I think that one has sailed

If we weren’t looking at offloading Randall & Taylor I'd be concerned..

Yeah I'm still fairly certain that Luca Stephenson isn't coming here.

Think we have done a deal for a backup versatile CB.

Info has dried up a bit though, apparently an email went around about leaks, think a lot was getting out on Twitter as well as trickling down to me.

Wouldn't be surprised if we're open to offers for McAtee too, can't see him being involved much this season.

I suspect these will be loans rather than permanent deals. But we'll see.
