Someone listed a few players on twitter and marked them out of 10 for the chances of us signing them and Baggot was given an 8, the rumours seemed to have started from there.

In a quiet week it’s understandable why he’s been mentioned as he fits the profile Fergal seems keen on, being tall 6ft 5 inches, left footed/sided CB, athletic, young and probably available at a decent price, but I’d be surprised if there’s anything in this. But we do need a replacement for George J, ideally an upgrade.

That's what Ben Davies is. Or, at least, is intended to be.

Seems to be rumours of Kelly N’Mai from the Ammies again so maybe if any move for ACD is knocked back he might be a decent replacement. I think we were linked with him previously if my memory serves me?

Yeah lots of examples of players breaking through from lower leagues and non league even when they're into their twenties Vardy probably the best example.

I don't know much about this Salford lad though. Going to google him in a minute 🤷 Which didn't really tell me much.

Quite a few players have started in the EFL that are in this world cup including Olise France. Semenyo Ghana and Watkins England plus many on loan

That is the list at present. Many more have appeared in the past and if you included loan players you would have most of the England squad

There's nobody we're likely to sign this summer who will replace the player ACD turned out to be.

It was the same with Bradley and Trafford. There are no like for like replacements for players we never owned who turned out to be worth far more than we could ever afford.

It'll be young players, those we think are undervalued and loans. And hopefully a few will hit.

Also if you'd had a bet this time last year whether Marcus Forss or Amario Cozier-Duberry would be a better signing I'd imagine Forss would've won by a landslide. There's only so much any of us can tell off Wikipedia pages and YouTube highlights.

Let's not forget ACD was a total flop at Blackburn and Forss came with pretty decent reviews.
