FFS. This isn't Behind The Stands. Most folk come on here to read bullshit rumours and conjecture, with the odd bit of accurate stuff thrown in. It's boring as fuck reading your personal squabbles.

We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

Wales are  the equivelent of York City.

That is a ridiculous statement. They have about 6/7 premier league players including two Spurs players who just beat City 4-0.

York are doing very well at the moment.

Reading from Iles that more transfer activity is being planned for Jan, but I'm not sure where we need to strengthen other than getting another midfielder in/Morley back. The squad already seems massive unless we can offload Vic, Forrester, Williams, Arfield and replace with better.

Either way, I can't see us spending loads if we're mid table, maybe some loans off higher clubs.

I’ve heard the ball boys organiser is for the chop.

I'd love that, but it's not happening

A physical presence up front would do me.

wonders why 90% of joe public can see the same players as not being up to it  and the same 10% saying they are good enough also want Evatt to stay

Not me. I think our squad is up to it with a few minor tweaks. They just need a new plan.  Evatt has to go.

The big lad at Barnsley who tore into our lot in the play off 2nd half,   can't remember his name, don't even know if he's still at Barnsley.     He would add some presence up front.

Is it Cosgrove? It the same lad who did Toal at Wembley for Plymouth.

yea it's Cosgrove. Scored 4 goals in 44 games for Barnsley, only seems to turn up against us

The squad is unbalanced and if we are to play with either full backs or wingers in a new system.  We would certainly need a couple of lumps up front and our wingbacks would go.  Two who would give us balance in a instant and allow us to go 4/4/2  would be Conway at leftback and give Schon more freedom to get down the wing, and Morley the holding midfielder allowing Sheehan to push on .

Getting players out the door may be hard this window but if we got rid of three or four it is doable

The best signing we could make in this window would be a sports psychologist, to work intensively with the squad through the week and be around them on match days.

Otherwise, in my eyes, the squad is tied into the approach. If the approach isn't going to change it's a waste of time talking about getting midfield enforcers or big target men (both of which we clearly need).

At this moment in time, for me, the squad arguably isn't as good / well equipped to deploy that approach as it was last season or even the one before. It certainly isn't equipped to be able to deploy a changed approach, should Evatt lift his head out of the sand and identify that it's needed

Should've signed him instead of McAtee tbf.

I’d prefer 4-4-2. Wingers would be needed certainly. Jones and Dacres Cogley could play right back, Johnston or Schon could play left back. Not ideal but there is still enough versatility with the right manager in charge.

Jones/cogley/Forrester right back.............Left back Conway allowing Schon to get more freedom Schon is no leftback

Would rather play Johnston at left back than Schon

4 from  of 5  Schon, Morley, Thomason, Sheehan and Dempsey team looks so much more balanced and Evatt/new manager does not dip into the market to get that lineup

Get rid of three four of  Arfield, Matete, TuTu, Lolos, Williams, Firino and Gomes and bring two lumps in

It’s all irrelevant as our manager will never play 4-4-2.

No, but the next one may................Sooner or later he will be gone

A wierd twist of fate considering his poor scoring record, that Plymouth were losing 3-0 in the Q-F, Cosgrove scored a 2nd half hat-trick, drew 3-3 and won on pens.  We would have been playing Wimbledon or Cheltenham in the final, and Toal wouldn't have got assaulted.

Birmingham paid Aberdeen £2mil for him, not sure what that was based on.

Regardless, the 4 we have in our forward line, collectively, are the best 4 in the division.

Cosgrove is very limited. If people don’t like Vic they’ll definitely not like him.

… and as well as Morley, Conway seems to have become world class in his time in League Two.

He is far from world class but did very well pre-season and has kicked on at Crewe....

Will never play for Bolton long term because Evatt plays one system and he has paid 800k for a player in Conways position

Cosgrove is awful

Walker and McGinlay. Hardly lumps, but very prolific.

Don't need lumps at all so long as service is good.
