best one we've had under the Evatt regime, which speaks volumes about our recruitment.

Players normally improve when injured on here, he has improved whilst playing in the reserves for whichever lower division team he has been playing for.  Even whilst he had no contract. 

There’s plenty of things you can slate Evatt on at the moment, but Declan John shouldn’t be one of them.

He got him at the right time, he probably played the best and most consistent football of his career under contract at this club under Evatt. And Evatt got rid of the troubled character at the right time.

Both statements are true

He was pretty good in L2 (though Ben Jackson showed he was arguably better in his brief run), found L1 tougher and it all went downhill from there on. Probably in last chance saloon up there but good luck to him. 

Replacing him has been hard work though, Williams and Mbete hardly worldbeaters, Schon has a chance of at least being alright at our current level

He wasn't for the first 18 months 

Especially when it was him and Fossey on the wings

It was his attitude that appeared to hold him back

IE did right to get rid when he did
