I don't think that was because he was getting stuck into every player in the other team. Hence why using him in a 2 in midfield is a very risky tactic. Quote

Holden was a top Premier League quality player. Ultimately he worried top teams so much that he got special attention and that cunt Evans ended his career, should have been a GBH charge, boils my piss even now when I hear his name. Holden was still developing as well, no knowing how good he could have become. Quote
Rival Son Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 (edited) Good shout. Based on what little we saw, he did look like a RWB … which 4-2-3-1 doesn’t need! Edited November 23, 2024 by Rival Son Forgot to quote WhitesSince63 … Don’t forget we have Desmond on the right too who is now fit Quote

At times he is excellent and at times does a good job covering when too many pushed fwad. BUT (big but) in too many really big games he is ineffective. Quote

Think that wouldn’t happen or go unpunished higher up. Lads easily championship level , especially if he had some one minding him. Quote

The idea the refs in the Championship would be significantly tougher (or more competent) than in League is something I do not believe. But even then you say he needs a minder. So as long as he plays in a non contact league with tough refs and other players looking after him I agree he could play a higher level. 😂😎 Quote
masi 51 Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 Same old shite......when will he ever learn Quote

Think we've had offers for victor and GT?? Quote

Wonder what your views are after that Great win and i thought Schon, Thomason and Collins had excellent second halfs Sheehan and Santos steady all game Not happy with 2 in midfield and no keeper on the bench.....My views on both counts have not changed Quote

Use the 2 up top. If he's one of them, fair enough. Yes we won, but you can't help feeling a third midfielder in there, ie Matete, would have provided for bite and stability, especially in a rain soaked Derby. Quote

Frustrating. I'd have him in the team most games because of his ability (shown by the goal) but if the ref blows a couple of minutes earlier, he's had a bad 'un. Quote

The one he hits the bar was not as easy as it looked first time. A lot of players would have rushed the ball in the 94th min, but he showed a great first touch. It ends 1-1 i would not have mentioned him agreed Quote
Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted November 23, 2024 Site Supporter Posted November 23, 2024 The effort that hit the post- he does appear to be just stretching a touch. Quote
