We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

  • Like when we went up from league 2, we needed tried and tested players from that specific division/level to deal with the task in hand. Doyle and Sarcs etc. We need exactly the same in this divis

Agree snap there hands off at 6. Even at 4/5.

Problem then is everyone wants more for their own

Assets so the actual real value of your own money is diminished so in reality it’s worth no more.

Nobody has offered £6m, I’m guessing we have thrown that out there to put people off even thinking of putting more bids in and possibly turning his head.

The 6 million fee is to put clubs off, and quite right well done Ken. ????????????

Aye, that’ll fool prospective buyers.

Burke & Cullen both on bench yesterday. I don’t think it’s an issue for us because apart from last couple of games they have had little game time for us but we need to find a couple of loans, preferably experienced to strengthen us

For some reason I don't know about, West Ham only named six subs yesterday, so if they really are short of squad players I can't imagine either of them returning to us on loan until Moyes gets the available squad numbers up to what he wants first.

Charsley was signed because we’re not getting Cullen

Back I had heard

different positions though

would've thought Charsley was to replace Armstrong

Very possibly only what I had heard though.

I could murder a bag of charsley right now.

2 million and bogle and Pilkington would be a good deal for madine, I was at darwen golf club yesterday and was talking to Pilkington uncle, he said bolton wanted him on loan but he wanted to join Blackburn but they were struggling to meet his wages. He wasn't going to sign for anyone perminant has he would get 1.2 million bonus if Cardiff are promoted.

He won’t be picking up that bonus and if he wants to sign for rovers, fuck him.

Correct and correct

Difficult to imagine us playing without Madine now but if the money from any transfer was used to bring in some quality even on loan & we need at least three players , it might give us the improvement we need to avoid the drop.

We are up dickies meadow if Madine gets injured & have no alternative CF apart from Wilderbeast who is less mobile than Heskey was.

He won’t be picking up that bonus and if he wants to sign for rovers, fuck him.

Spot on.

Sounds as though he's after a second promotion bonus at Blackburn if he rather drop a division than play at the highest level he can.

In which case Mounts sums it up rather well.

He is a Blackburn lad, though.

That might be something to do with it.

Agreed

aye, that and he would be in a winning team going for promotion, and not a struggling one

if you're going on loan for a few months, might as well enjoy it

Plus it’s a damn sight easier to look good in that league as we know.

Game went years ago mate. Stupid when you’ve got talk of first 350k per week premier league player. Life really wtf

And 6m for madine? I think we should be asking that. Others get stupid money for shite. Not our fault.

Whole Game needs to go bust and start again

In one!  I've lost all bar a most casual interest in owt other than Bolton, and living away means I feel disconnected to them.

If they capped wages at a 'sensible' amount worldwide (something FiFA could enforce - I think -  but would never dare), limited foreign players, again, across the globe and made it so academy players had to be somewhat local to the club I may gain back some interest (and 'passion').

Greed has spoiled it and I imagine once the product becomes less appealing and the novelty wears off globally it will bottom out in a big way.  Modern football is like boxing without any weight distinctions i.e. the heavyweights win everything, always.   You could argue Leicester got a lucky swinger in there ;)

Still, 6M for Madine  . . . yes . . . titter . . .  please

I couldn’t give a fuck about football other than bolton - if it weren’t for my hard wiring on the wanderers I’d have completely turned off football years ago it’s lost absolutely any relevance to ordinary folk it’s a pantomime.

Man City are more bothered about their image in Singapore than taking a young lad from the streets of hulme and making him a hero to his community.

It’s an English disease too our league and clubs have literally sold their soul it really saddens me

That game this afternoon reminded me why I love football.

Definitely. A fantastic advert for football

The money would be used to pay off debts. If we sign some loan players we're back to square one next season and I'm not convinced there are loans of the quality and experienced needed available.

Selling Vela if it meant bringing a proper midfield player in might be worth considering, though very risky. I still see no chance of survival if we cash in on Madine.
