January 16Jan 16 I was reading the other day that Randall, when he broke through at Exeter(?) he was a left winger. Might as well give him a try there as im sure he's no No10.

January 17Jan 17 Today again showed where we need to strengthen, and I’d be both surprised and delighted if we do. I like Burstow’s work rate and I’m hoping he finds his eye for goal again but today he wasn’t up to much apart from when he got down the side and put a nice ball across the box, however we need more than that. I hope we can get some real firepower in, but I can’t imagine we will.

I guess Markham’s transfer department looked at the stats and videos from when he was playing regularly at Posh -stats were excellent and he scored quite a few as well - and plumped for him on that basis, but we got him too late. He can pour his bile onto the Brits from there, though, being a Derryman he is British. He should be reminded of that every day.

I agree we could do with another striker for the sake of competition, but don’t write him off just yet. 49 minutes ago, Dr. Feelgood said: Indeed. A vile man I'd have no desire to be associated with. Yes, it’s amazing anyone from his background has ever had any issues in the face of such delightful attitudes.

But probably not the thread to get into why that’s not correct, and if he’s going then hopefully we won’t have to suffer the same shite every November.

I don't care what his political beliefs are, he's just a massive dick head that loves winding people up then cries when he gets grief back the big baby. File under John Aldrige and Robbie Savage. Total nob head.

With Dalby getting better support and deliveries in a 343 we need whoever plays off him to be sticking away the chances - hope Mason can do that. With Tutu and Conway delivering out swinging crosses it’s a change from ACD and Gale’s in swingers so I guess it’ll take time for everyone to readjust to the new system, so hopefully he’ll start finding the net again soon.

I like Burstow but I don’t see him as much of a poacher, which is more what we need now we’ve got more coming into the box with Tutu and Conway. I see Forss better in that regard, a bit more quick thinking and anticipates better. Whether any of our strikers are really that is debatable and if not a May type would fo if Huddersfield want to part as they’ve done with Taylor who also would have done. I wonder if Barnsley would consider a bid for Keillor-Dunn but could we even afford him?

Our outgoing transfers so far have been more about slimming down the wage bill rather than building a kitty for purchases and I don’t expect us to be buying anyone, but if we do I hope it’s a finisher. If we stick with the system at Wigan, Forss should be given a go, however it would be ideal if we had a finisher of our own and if money is tight, a home grown product.
