FFS. This isn't Behind The Stands. Most folk come on here to read bullshit rumours and conjecture, with the odd bit of accurate stuff thrown in. It's boring as fuck reading your personal squabbles.

  • Sure it's that Mandela effect in full flow here that we all seem to be OK with this. It's a fucking travesty and complete shitshow. He's our most prolific striker by a country mile, has been

We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

Folk have commented very favourably about Ritchie, and maybe a squad place beckons.

At his age a squad place wouldn't count to our numbers either. So a loannonly if he gains really good experience.

How many signings before next weekend then?

I will go for two.

I think a few out first, Randell & Simons and a few young loaning out.

I tried to follow Warren's progress at Aldershot last season & though he had a purple patch of goalscoring ,he then seemed to go off the boil & finished the season as a sub for a bottom half National league team.

It's hard to see him jumping up to Championship level from there but i'd be very happy to be proved wrong.

Inwood on the other hand, was consistently highly rated there all season.

Yes, I remember someone saying he'd slowed down.

I suppose you could also level a touch of criticism at inwood too- if he was consistent but they were still lower table.

All that doesn't concern me too much though- Beckham was at Preston for a while and turned out fairly decent.

I also remember the stick Dalby got earlier last season. Came good later and became wanking tackle.

I'm sure SS will do what's best in the end- would be good to see one or two more youngsters coming through though.

Player signing tomorrow, half 1, club shop.

Tried to get the graphic a bit bigger.

If you click on a make a bit bigger, it’s a good one to visualise where our need is in the transfer market - wingers and forwards!

The right back spot you have three names yet we only need max two in each position.

SS post match interview he says Larrazabel has been brought in for the position despite only playing as a winger and rwb. We know Stephenson was more a Harkin signing. Going to watch this very carefully the next few games.

Yeh me too.

Don’t know if it’s just an innocent descriptor of Lorrazabel being titled as a defender.

Or whether SS is really driving this.

I suspect the 2nd one, so that it keeps his bargaining power to get more needed wingers in being a priority.

Just guessing, nothing more, but I’d be amazed if we don’t see at some point Lorrazabel playing in front of Stephenson and I suspect SS knows this too, he just doesn’t want to give his hand away yet.

Does highlight that we need 4 more up front. None of Randall, McAtee, Warren and Ritchie are starting. At least 2 don’t make the match day squad.

Been willing Warren to work since he arrived but it’s not happening at this level. Was he a winger when he was a prolific goal scorer? L1 loan at best but more likely L2.

Ritchie has great energy and promise again L1 loan if he’s lucky this season. Randall and McAtee likely departures.

So 1 more winger assuming Larra can play there. 2 strikers and at least 1 more CAM, 2 if McAtee goes.

Certainly see the first sign of SS/Harkin not on the same page

We’ll see

I personally don’t think it’s a case of that.

Me neither.

Both Stephenson and Larra can play in multiple positions. I do suspect Stephenson was one in the bank in case Larra didn’t sign for us, and SS may have suggested biding our time earlier in the window. But comes a point if we don’t sign them somebody else will.

Stephenson has played well pre-season.

I’m on the same lines.

A bit of internal negotiating to get the best outcome.

If that’s what @masi 51 is suggesting then I agree.

But I think there’s a difference between that and the insinuations that were cast a week or two ago about there being unrest between them.

I suspect they are both strong individuals both used to getting their own way. Nothing wrong with a difference of opinion. If SS never had made the comment of Larrazabal being brought in to play right back it would have stayed in house. Think it is no more than SS saying he wants true wingers and not wing/backs but at the end of the day neither are true full backs and only one can play in that position.

It seems like a helluva stretch to extrapolate that conclusion from the information given mate. Where is the evidence of a rift?

Some rubbish talked on here at times. We need two quality players for each position and we have it on the left with Akin and Max and now we have it on the right with Luca and Gazza. Christie’s obviously back up if needed. Schuey has said he wants wingers and strikers so why can’t you just accept that instead of inventing conspiracy theories about unrest between Schuey and Fergal. Schuey has clearly stated that Larrazabal is a full back so where is the need to question it?

I do get the impression there's a bit of tension/frustration, to be honest, especially in the interviews SS is giving

It doesn't have to mean relationships have broken down or anything so drastic, but it does seems things haven't gone as well as we were hoping so far

Christie is on x thousand pounds a week. He will be included in the first team squad.

No Conspiracy theory but we cannot carry three right backs....Money and squad numbers dictate that. Though i am not sure who this Gazza is we have signed

Exactly this.....Just a difference of opinion

SS post match interview. A rift maybe too strong but SS believes he has 3 right backs and no right wingers in his squad

If FH was opposed to the signing of the Spaniard, it wouldn't have happened.
