It’s about how we all interpret things differently as for the winger are we hanging on for ACD which for me would be foolish.

FFS. This isn't Behind The Stands. Most folk come on here to read bullshit rumours and conjecture, with the odd bit of accurate stuff thrown in. It's boring as fuck reading your personal squabbles.

We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

They know they want ACD, SS says they have spoken & he's not averse ro it.

Ducks need to be in a row & until it's done something could alter.

He'll have other options of course ... & who's to say he'll be as good in a higher league ?

This is the issue,

He had a few games where he was ineffective and just seemed to blend in, then some amazing games. Can't fault the lad he's pure class but with 2 championship defenders on him all game?

FWIW i reckon Dong will catch on like Cissoko did, just a slow burner as there's clearly a language barrier there.

Also reckon Charlie Warrens a possible unknown entity, interesting to see him and Richie given a lot of game time in friendlies, but Daeshon Lawrence was last year and he seems to have fallen off the radar.

Yes, but that's my point

This season's equivalent of TSL and ACD haven't yet been sent on loan

It's for those reasons (and others) that this transfer window is different

Yes, but we're not after last seasons TSL or ACD. They'll be going to league one. We're after the young players closer to the first team... they'll go later in the window.

Look at PNE, because I know they had a few loans from prem clubs last season; 7th July - Jebbison, 8th August - Devine, 22nd August - Dobbin, 1st Sept - Armstrong

With the exception of Jebbison from Bournemouth (who given his run in the 1st team the previous season they'd already made a call he needed to go out on loan early), all the rest were in the last 3 weeks of the window. They're the loans you'd hope we're targeting, and I don't think the timescales will be materially different this season.

I certainly didn’t take this, or anything close to this, away from his interview.

Have I read, or have you written that correctly?

The players know we are not good enough and they can see it in themselves???

Jesus, lets pack our bags and give up now.

I have been telling you all Summer that squad is not good enough and as late as a week ago i said i would like to see up to ten moved/Loaned on.

The board have not backed SS since appointing him but now have three weeks to make it right. Not finding that extra 500k last summer i think cost us the title and now 1m for Kenny seemed a snip. Think the club is lucky to have both SS and Harkin and i think the Board have been brilliant for the club but for me it is time to pass on the Baton before lack of funding see both SS and Harkin walk and we once again go back down the leagues. No one is asking for 10s of Millions but enough to give us a fighting chance. I am certain we will improve the squad before Sep1

Keeping it calm and respectful I’ll respond 😊

I also know the squad, as it is, is not good enough to compete in the championship, I’ve been consistent with this.

It’s just numbers we disagree on. I was more 5/6 in/out, you were 10-12.

As for the board they have always been consistent in the pragmatic progression they want us to make and not putting the club at risk by over-spending.

Until we get to the 1st September we don’t know what backing the board will give, so probably better, like you say to wait till then before making judgements akin to the board letting him down or needing to pass the baton on.

so we shouldn't panic sign freddie nomark from swedish div 3 and the following day see ACD sign for Preston?

Im concerned about the comment that the players think we are not good enough , They should be getting ready to run through walls and rip up trees .

When we went up to the Prem under Big Sam , the squad wasnt really good enough and in that close season we brought in , Southall , Pedersen , Diawara & Nishizawa .

Yet we had a storming start due to enthusiasm , adrenaline, grit and determination . Reinforcements arrived bit by bit and we had a good January window .

I would expect the players now to act simarlarly with the buzz of playing in a higher league and being on the crest of a wave or whatever.

However the fact that we are still trying to bring back ACD & kenny gives me a lot of hope and they would both be a big marale boost to the team .

ACD and Warren in the same convo, dear God - your own words 'hes pure class' then comparing him with a very raw kid, 20 something who i don't see scoring a league goal for us

did you not learn your lesson with Sharples-Ahmed, consistently banging his drum when it was obvious he was light years off

if ACD were to end up with 2 defenders on him it's because he'd be doing a good job

seems quite clear to me now that we definitely want Kenny and ACD, and I think we'll get them

and if we don't, there'll be others

I'm absolutely certain we won't feel like we are lacking in terms of additions come the end of the window

You see this is typical of what happens in today’s social media world.

Someone gives a small misinterpretation of a comment, out of context, amongst a list of other negatives..and before you know it, it’s being pedalled as a mistruth.

See above. This is not about the players lacking belief in themselves that they are not good enough.

It’s just a simple case of we have no right winger and the players we have are not that thick that they can’t see this!

I think that is a fair response....Until 1st September no need to panic, but it is now time for them to put up and give him the same backing as another

However its been interpreted / transposed onto here, SS was being honest, the players aren't daft and its a pretty reasonable and realistic view for them to be taking at this moment in time.

We didnt piss our way into the Championship with a squad that was too good for L1, we just about got there, via the play offs, and are minus some of the key assets involved.

What we've got at this moment would only moderately excite me if we'd stayed down and were refreshing and preparing for another go in L1.

It's frustrating, for SS and us as fans, that after all the missed chances and anguish we've finally got where the aim was to be but then look to be going to war with a peashooter.

We can only hope a few things drop into place over the next few weeks and, in the meantime, those we put out v Preston go out there, graft, scrap and do its level best to get us at least a point on the board, against one of a few other lower half sides whose fans are downbeat at a lack of action.

A quick agreement - I like it 👍😊

I know that

All of the above and the other reasons I mentioned are why this transfer window is different to previous, more recent transfer windows

The club has its hands tied behind its back and has no option but to be patient

That it is a different experience for us this time round is my only point

Stay of execution until 1st Septemper......As i say i think and trust the non playing management

Nope, I did not..

In a world full of negativity I'm positive, that's why I don't manage any football teams :p However I'm hard pressed to come online and state things like "We need 10/11 new players" as it's not in my nature to be that critical.

Anyway, read it again, I didn't compare him to ACD, they're light years apart, but there's obviously something in there, he wouldn't be with us (SS signed him), otherwise, I even finished the sentence with a counter argument against it.

If we think SS was being frank about the situation it's nothing compared with Heckingbottom at PNE

Reporter - 'how far away from the squad you want are we?'

PH - 'miles away'

You say interesting I say we've got no fucker else.

Il finger my own arse outside the club shop if Charlie Warren starts a league game for us this or any other season.

i don't know why the club put SS up for these interviews

just leads to over reactions, folk picking over what he says

Fair point , and he must get sick to death of answering the same questions every week .

All manager interviews are usually just inane waffle to pacify the journalists and fans.

If it happens will you film it for your dark web site ? Gotta be a money spinner .
