Kane57 Posted February 12, 2019 Posted February 12, 2019 Drop Donaldson and play this new lad. Defend from the front innit Quote
Traf Posted February 12, 2019 Posted February 12, 2019 Is the problem that our strikers can't put the ball in the net, or is it that our midfield is so shit they're creating nothing but scraps? Probably both. Add that to a defence that can't defend... Quote

Magennis would bag a hatful if we 1) could get ball 2) he wasn’t knackered playing the role of 3 people all match. 3) we could cross 4) we could create a goal scoring chance for him he had 2 chances on Saturday. One header early doors where he shoved the defender over and got a good head of the ball. and a 25 yard curler from no where. orher than that he spent the entire match chasing shadows and getting zero service Quote
dazl1212 Posted February 12, 2019 Posted February 12, 2019 If we're going to sign defenders we need some with pace, I think part of our problem is we have to play so deep as most of our defenders dont have a prayer if the ball ends up behind them and cant deal with quick players running at them. So that ends up dragging our midfield back to prevent there being a huge gap between midfield and defense. Quote

I thought on Saturday when Donaldson came on and played near him (I know we were chasing the game) they caused Preston some problems. Quote

Basically unless we go two up top we wont score & if we go two up top we will concede on the break which means we are shite in midfield really . Quote
