  • FFS. This isn't Behind The Stands. Most folk come on here to read bullshit rumours and conjecture, with the odd bit of accurate stuff thrown in. It's boring as fuck reading your personal squabbles.

We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

Twitter reporting late tonight that Adam Armstrong is about to sign

Is he any good?

Is he any good?

6 in 34 for Barnsley last season in the Championship

20 in 40 for Coventry the season before in League 1.

Reading a few comments off various write ups and this lad could be a very good move

7 in 13 for England U-20's apparently, which blows the barnsley stuff out of the water.

In fact 28 in 43 for England from U-17 through to U-20, so he knows where the net is!

Couldn't agree more his record is good

And Newcastle seem to rate him highly

Is he a target man or poacher?

Is he a target man or poacher?

He'd be a small target!

Scored a cracker at Deepdale last year iirc

He'd be a small target!

5'8" or similar, I think.

Armstrong would be an amazing signing

More pacy skill dribbler type than Le Fondre who is more of a pocher. This lad could be very exciting.

Runs off the shoulder of defenders. Two footed. Looks good to me?!

Could we play ALF & Armstrong in the same team? Would be a shame not to.

Barnsley played him out wide though apparently

We've shown interest in him previosuly but it never happened

I'm reliably informed that this IS happening though (that info is from the Geordie end)

asked my geordie mate if he's any good, who said:

"potentially very good, pretty good signing i reckon - bit like that little one you sold to forest"

Unless one played out wide, i would of thought not

Adam Armstrong signed on loan

Nice bit of skill vs Alex always gives away penalties Baptiste

Only till jan

only going off the loons on twitter but newcastle fans seem to rate him highly

Excellent signing get the 2 lads in from west ham just need a LB CM and target man

Armstrong, Le Fondre, Ameobi, Morais, Buckley. Suddenly we aren't looking too bad of a team now...
