Kane57 Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 Probably offset by signing up Madine on lower wages, along with losing the big earners Quote
Sweep Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 These one year deals always get me Surely if you sign someone for one year they would want stupid money? As there's no security Unless nobody else wants them, and they don't really have much of a choice Quote
radcliffe white Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 Unless nobody else wants them, and they don't really have much of a choicedont get me wrong not complaining great addition Just thought he would have other offers Quote
ohjimmyjimmy Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 Might be Sammy calling the shots One good season, his stock rises again and he's a free agent to choose where he goes Risky for a footballer to do but i doubt he was short of offers of a longer contract on similar wages to ours? Plus at 25 he has time on his side Quote
Blondi Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 These one year deals always get me Surely if you sign someone for one year they would want stupid money? As there's no security Maybe someone like Ameobi can accept a modest salary for 12 months, but he thinks he'll have a cracking season with us and then he'll have clubs queing up for him at the end of the season so £££. Could always go the opposite way like. Quote
onlyoneawalker Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 Half a decent season in league 1 ...... Henry just signed for oxford maybe one year with us was as good as it got ...... good signing though enjoyed watching him last year Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 I don't blame the club for only giving him one year (if that is accurate) In all reality, he's had a quiet career so far and not ripped up trees in this league. Its an opportunity for both without to much of a tie. Quote
white noise Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 Can always offer him a longer deal if he shapes up ok. Quote
Biggish Dave Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 My guess is money is right down the middle, if he does well, we either offer him a new contract at Christmas on better dosh or if it doesn't come off, we are only lumbered with him for 1 year. Maybe the embargo is a sticking point though for how many contracts we can hand out over 12 months? Quote
bwfc87 Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 Samizadeh off to Kilmarnock Only on loan I think. Quote
matty2094 Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 "Phil Parkinson confirmed Alex Samizadeh was allowed to join Kilmarnock and "wasn't what we wanted". #bwfc" Marc Iles Quote
SnoopJohnnyJohn Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 Only on loan I think. Nope, he's gone. Quote
Casino Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 "Phil Parkinson confirmed Alex Samizadeh was allowed to join Kilmarnock and "wasn't what we wanted". #bwfc" Marc Iles The wasn't what we wanted meaning he wasn't good enough and we don't think he will be good enough Quote
Casino Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 However we offered him a 3rd year scholarship Seems to be some conflict between words and actions Quote
bwfc87 Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 Nope, he's gone. That's a shame. He'll score shit loads in that league. Hoped it would be a loan move to get experience. IMO he will have a good career. Good luck to him. Quote
gazza Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 always thought he would do a job for us this kid !! Quote
SoberDan Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 (edited) Scored goals for fun as a youngster expect he will be scoring 20+ a season in this league in a couple of years time. We are making a habit of giving away our starlets for nothing Edited July 15, 2017 by SoberDan Quote
Ani Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Is this a case of because of the embargo we have limited squad numbers andPP did not want to use a squad place on him ? I would have thought a year on loan would be a good idea but may be he did not want that ? Quote
SoberDan Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 (edited) Its a poor decision and forgive if I'm wring but arent we short of strikers especially goal scorers Edited July 15, 2017 by SoberDan Quote

Good luck to him. I'm not sure he will didn't do much on loan at chorley so can't see why he will bag goals at a higher level. Quote
