Was just saying to Miami - he's clearly a top lad and BWFC through and through. Don't need to know him to know that.

 

It's shite to see a young bloke going through that, especially when he's one of our own.

Glen mentioned changing your profile or cover picture to the flag. When he logs on he can immediately see all the support he has from everyone.

Don't know him very well but did spend some time with him in Porto for a couple of days. Never far from a pack of cards in his hand.

I remember a national guard officer hitting a young girl across the arm with a truncheon with her dad stood next to her. I am sure I heard her arm snap as she was in absolute agony. They were brutal that night and thankfully we managed to skip the trouble at the end of the game too but I believe it got nasty

 

As for Pud, I don't know him but wish him well in his battle for health

That Madrid match was a bit moody around the ground beforehand, but it was just banter in the ground initially with both sets of fans swapping insults/gestures/smiles.

A kid who was with our party (15 years old maybe) had bought a Real Madrid flag from the Bernabeu the previous day. He thought it would be a good idea to unfurl it in front of the Athletico fans who were next to us - and it quickly turned ugly.

Cig lighters and coins were being thrown, then the thuggish Spanish police steamed into any English person within baton range.

Another that doesn't know pud but certainly recognise him on many trips. A horrid thing he is going through but I hope he can keep fighting.
