February 11, 20179 yr And Derik played well considering he's dogshit at right back - the Naysayers have had a rough afternoonHe did well at staying back rather than Taylor who was almost our most advanced player at times. I thought Phil Morris had a very good game, some excellent bits of movement to get himself some space.
February 11, 20179 yr Great result & scoreline The game was a bit stale for me, couldn't wait to get out of there at the end. Perhaps the long half time didn't help With regards Madine, I'm just not a fan I think he's weak in far too many areas of his game, I don't even think he wins / holds the ball up that well His finishing is diabolical, the one on one today was very poor. I think his confidence is just shot to shit when it comes to shooting, he seems to dred getting a shot away I'd like to think 1 of the others could fit in next to ALF and do a better job but I think the chances of us trying that out are zero. PP clearly has faith in him New lads looked lively, hopefully they can work out Think 352 could work but Moraise on the right looks like he will struggle getting up and down for 90 Edited February 11, 20179 yr by birch-chorley
February 11, 20179 yr He did well at staying back rather than Taylor who was almost our most advanced player at times. I think that's because Dez was part of a back 3 and Taylor was the wide man left in a midfield 5
February 11, 20179 yr Clong is very positive Great goal Maybe we aren't destined for the play offs Book that May holiday BD, no play offs to work around.
February 11, 20179 yr I think that's because Dez was part of a back 3 and Taylor was the wide man left in a midfield 5 I wonder what people are watching at times That we so obviously 352
February 11, 20179 yr I wonder what people are watching at times That we so obviously 352 It was my mistake saying he played well at right back
February 11, 20179 yr Sounds like it's happened before? http://mobile.doncasterroversfc.co.uk//news/article/2016-17/club-statement-3254968.aspx Definitely sulking
February 11, 20179 yr As he didn't play right back, seemed fair enough to clarify it Fwiw, I thought the Portuguese cockney had a cracking first half at wing back Trotter did enough to shut the knockers up, who really should fcuk off and boo another team Cracking goal off his right shin
February 11, 20179 yr We'd started well, gone behind to a wonder goal in 3rd minute,in the 4tn I heard some folk booing when a pass went astray, FFS! Backing was better 2nd half but can't help feeling it's a good job we turned it round quick or atmosphere would have been grim. If we're going to have any chance of seeing it through to promotion in May some folk are seriously going to have to find some patience from somewhere. On the game itself, liked Morais, worked well with Derik / Vela, good at taking it up to the full back, finding room and putting good crosses in. Simple but effective. What a goal from Long but then what a miss at the end. Lively cameo though, as they say. Wasn't a great game and we'll need more Tuesday but win's a win, happy Saturday night!
February 11, 20179 yr Vela needs to do something soon, for me Just don't rate him with the ball His nose for a goal is very handy but he doesn't look like getting into the positions to score Prob not his fault as he's playing a different game, but it makes him a bit of a passenger
February 11, 20179 yr Folk who where moaning and booing for for the restart, are you completely fucking simple??? Obviously there was some kind of serious issue. Grow a brain ffs Got to agree on the booing for the restart I can't get my head around it I think one or two started and it was very much a case of Monkey see - Monkey do. I sat in the WSL North end today and fuck mop, there are some proper neanderthals in there who couldn't wait to blame Trotter for just about everything and who, as Casino said earlier, they should fuck off to a different club and boo there.
February 11, 20179 yr Don't think that's necessarily limited to that area. Similar in NSL with folk desperate for Trotter and/or Madine to make a mistake.
February 11, 20179 yr Just spoke to my mate who is a Sheff U season ticket holder. They were really looking forward to today after they got battered by Walsall the other week. All their talk has been about KA and Deano. Thought we were ripe for picking off today. Now they are worried. Although happy that they got another last minute win they are seriously worried about us
February 11, 20179 yr Oztumer Liked him Guy could thread a pass and hit a goal. Scored almost identical goal from similar spot to Gudni Bergssons vs Barnsley on Boxing Day. Gudni got elected Chairman of the Icelandic FA this afternoon.

February 11, 20179 yr We didnt play well but won and scored 4, I'd take that every week. ALF is going to be great for us, he has a football brain that is quicker and faster than this level, they were scared of him with his pressing which is somehting that Long did to great effect. This winger from Bradford looks ok as well, he grew into the game. If Bradford have released him they must have some real shit hot player. Scunthorpe are now bottling, them blunt Yorkshire blade cunts will next. Were gonna win the league!
February 11, 20179 yr Gudni's goal was the other end. Whichever. Cracking goal and very similar. Gudni Bergsson screamer for Bolton Wanderers vs Barnsley (26/12 ...
February 11, 20179 yr PP reckons four months now for Wilson, so his season is over. 3 - 5 - 2 I called it!
February 11, 20179 yr Oztumer Liked him The lad played really well in our game at walsall aswell. He was smaller than the corner flag. Unbelieveable.
February 11, 20179 yr The lad played really well in our game at walsall aswell. He was smaller than the corner flag. Unbelieveable. 5ft 3 apparently. Can't be many smaller. He has great feet
February 11, 20179 yr Lots of positives, not least the new boys. Alf's movement was really intelligent & he was unlucky not to latch on to Madine's flick ons - only a matter of time. Morais worked hard & got better as the game went on, giving his full back a tough time & putting in some dangerous crosses. Long was very lively, scored a beauty .....& missed a sitter. I know he was only on as a sub which makes it easier to look good against tiring defenders, but he looks to have great potential. The brummie also looked useful & mighty quick on his short runout. Spearing M-O-M again. Hurrah
February 11, 20179 yr Spearing was ace. ALF put himself about and offered more in 60 mins than Clough did for the whole of his last 6 games. He will be difference that lad I'm certain of it. Onward and upwards.
