I'd go pretty much identical but would go with Long instead of Madine and I'm also presuming Taylor is still injured

Vela needs to play as an attacking midfielder.

 

At Walsall away we gave them the initiative in midfield. Spearing and Vela need to get stuck in and win the battle. Sit back and Walsall will play football.

 

They don't play with a left winger as such so right back not an issue. They did have joy against our left back (did we play with someone out of position there away from home who got s new one ripped?)

 

Anyway. Get on the front foot and don't wait to go 1 down.

Is there not a youth player who can step if for Taylor if he's unfit.

Failing that could try three centre backs with derik dropping in.

I'd be happy playing 5 accross the middle with ALF up top if it means we can use these wingers to get in behind the Walsall defence and supply some crosses for ALF. It's a break away from the long punts up to Madine but we have to try something different based on our last few performances
