All games are important no matter what stage of the season but with Marching having more than its fair share of away games, this home game is equally as important as the last.

To be fair - they made a decent racket considering there wasn't a lot of them.

I always find it quite amusing when our bully boy stewards cart out the away fans. Special mention to the grey haired Cobblers fan that must have been pushing 50 and got chucked out after 4 minutes! Bless him.

Great to see Spearing back today. Him, Pratley and Vela together will never stop running, pressuring the opposition. Decent amount of talent about them too

We got lucky with the penalty and the game without the pen we would of lost.

Thanks, my impression was that  the ref gave it due to a period of numerous worthy claims.

Great for Morais  to get a goal after all his assists recently.

Some poor refereeing today and having seen the penalty on telly now, I still don't think it should have been given. Nobody in our house gives a feck though

Also, we had plenty of chances today. What I have really noticed in these last few games is that we are actually controlling matches and not just grinding it out with no possession. If you look at our statistics compared to our last run, it's noticeable, we are having much more possession and shots.

Northampton had done their homework from our Gillingham game & put up a stiffer physical challenge, but we deserved the win overall. We had plenty of 2nd half chances......Wheater missing his header from a pinpoint free kick, Alf's 1 on 1 (that was a lovely move ), a good save from Pratley's back header & someone should have scored when Alf took the ball off the keeper on the wing.

Not a cat in hells chance. I was discussing this at half time with my mate though. I said I thought Le Fondre had been quiet first half but had worked his bollocks off - but Madine looked lethargic. He thought exactly the opposite. Strange how to people watching the same game can come to such different conclusions.
