Without bring coal shovels into it, I've had loads of personal dealings with muslims, my personal policy of treating everyone the same has meant I've piped up or defended my viewpoints on the odd occasions I've found their actions or words objectionable, I've had the lumps and bumps to prove it as once or twice it's become physical. There seems to be some trope that everyone on the more tolerant side turns a blind eye or defends the indefensible - which simply isn't true but gains traction in our increasingly black/white and reductive world...I'll stick by continuing to treat everyone the same and not making blanket judgements - unless an individual(s) personally do or say something that changes my approach to them.

Aye, there is a world of difference between the village yokels who migrated to the north and midlands of England and those professional who settled in the USA/Canada and go with western dress and culture.

 

I doubt yokels could have afforded to emigrate.

 

I'd wager those that did, initially, were top of their chains and hence why they have, in the main, made quite well out of the opportunities presented to them over here.

The culture of what? Parasites and hanger-on; towel holders, water carriers etc. have always been rife in boxing, boxers of usually humble roots always acquire a coterie of leeches when they achieve success, same leeches usually drop off when the blood runs out...I don't think cases like this are isolated to the likes of Amir (and his background/culture).
